C# - Tool To Track Features And Bugs That Allows End User Visibility?

I'm looking for a feature request/bug tracking web tool that would allow for the following: Allows end users to enter their feature request. Allows end users to see their feature requests and other requests that are "publicly" visible (from other users) with things like timelines, progress updates, etc Would allow for individual URLs to give to users like [URL] and [URL] Can integrate sign-on information from a current SQL Server I'm sure that a tool like this must already exist and I'd like to hear feedback from some of the other programmers on here.

This problem has been perplexing me for some time now and I've tried various methods of implementing this but all have failed or have been very messy. There must be a recognised way of doing this On a form I have a treeview and listview control. The treeview allows a user to select a node and the listview shows the items within the node - pretty standard stuff. The possible columns (or subitems) list for each item in the listview is big (20 different columns in total). Some users will want to show certain information whilst others won't. Users will also want to customise column location and widths.
Implementing the customer location and widths is easy enough using standard My.Settings variables to store and retrieve the information. The problem is allowing the user to select which columns they want to be visible at any given time whilst still allowing for access to the relevant subitems.
The only method I know to achieve this currently is to set Column.Width = 0. This is not a good solution because the user simply extends the column out again from the user interface. I need to hide the column properly.I've been told that using a repository cache is the way to do this. Unfortunately the person didn't describe this properly and so I'm still stuck at sqaure one. My database access is achieved using Linq to Sql.

i want to know if vb.net provides functions to keep a user login once the latter has already logged in to the application. Something like in php its called "session"?
I have an application, the user logs in and views the main menu. There are different options in there, for e.g. add function. Once the user adds a something to the db, the application should be able to keep track of which user added which particular stuff in the db.

I am getting these constant annoying errors in Visual Basic .NET 2010 Express. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, but these errors are always relating to images and resources The Type 'Global.ExampleProject.My.Resources.Resources' has no property named 'example.png'I am pretty sure these are bug, due to the fact that I get these errors after a while in most of my projects - it's absolutely annoying! Most solutions include removing the resources (commenting them out of the form designer code) and re-importing them... But then the problem comes back again after the project has been loaded a few times!
Microsoft suggest this is rather a user-related issue rather than a bug due to the fact that they can't reproduce the error.I'm still sticking to the belief of this being a bug - anyone get this error alot of the time?This is not the only bug I get - sometimes VB stops working when I try to build my projects!

I stucked in trouble recently preparing for distrubute MS Access 2003 Application(mde) with 2003 runtime module.The function SUM() isn't work properly if a table has mulit rows. if mouse over the issued row, then it calculated.If update Office SP1,2,3, it works, which means MS already know the issue.My applcations is running with Access 2003 runtime all the time evenif user alredy have Office installed.Problem is that a user who has Office 2003 product and already updated Office SP, after installed our product, need to update again to fix runtime bugs. This is very weird for users becasue they somethimes need to install SP twice.

When I downloaded VB 2005 Express I took advantage of the bundle of goodies on offer and downloaded SkinCrafter Light.I really like the four skins that come with SkinCrafter Light, and I am using one on my current project (example of the skin I am using here). However, SkinCrafter Light has a couple of bugs with RichTextBoxes (these bugs are known to SkinCrafter, as I can see posts about them in their forum, but they have gone unanswered in over two years!)One bug is that any text that is colored in a RichTextBox is turned back to black when the skin is applied, and if you click anywhere in the RTB the application will crash (you can see my RTB on the right bottom of the form in my screenshot above).
I use colored text in my RTB, but, at a pinch,I could make do without (as I really DO like the Skin), but the problem remains of crashing when clicking inside a RTB.I was wondering (can't test at the moment as I am at work) if simply placing a control, such as a Button, Label, Picture box etc, set to transparent, over the top of the RTB, would solve the problem, so a user could not click inside the RTB (but would be clicking on the invisible control over the top instead).

I'm looking for a .Net PDF Viewer tool that will accept the barcode font as well as allow the user to save, email, and print the PDF. I tried the tool by SkySof, but it doesn't handle barcodes. We're having trouble using the COM PDF control because of other stuff that needs to be installed on our servers. Our customer would prefer that the tool be under $1000. We're using Visual Studio 2008 and this is a windows application being served up by Citrix.

i am trying to do an assignment and trying to figure out the best way to implement it. My problem is i am telling sub-procedures to make this textbox visible and not visible depending on the selected change index. Is there anything wrong? In the form the visble property is set to false, but shouldnt it become visible when the index is changed?

I am not sure why I can't use pictureboxes when its visibility is set to false?? While the picturebox is not hidden, as part of my game I want the user to be able to guess where the picturebox is which means by clicking on it, it should trigger an event but even when I set this event, nothing happens. When visibility is set to true then the event triggers.
I want to be able to trigger events even if visibility is set to false,

I am thinking of giving mono develop a try. I have some questions. Visual Studio 2008 Professional has options for creating controls and services. This is not available in Visual Basic 2008 Express. This relationship between the different editions, is there something limiting like this with mono develop? I figure since it's open source, everything is implemented like Visual Studio 2008 Pro.
Another question. Does anyone have experience with mono. Is it a production level serious environment for commercial work? Is there something I should know about it?
Any mono developer that has anything good or bad to say, please drop a post in here. I would like to get as much info as possible from vbforums. This has always been the best help site for me using Visual Basic Express.
The most important thing, to reiterate is if I can make Windows Services with Mono Develop and if it supports full threading features that are limited or not available in express.
As a last question, what is the story on managed directx for mono. On Linux, there is no such thing, so would you plan an opengl library to start with? or does that work out in a different way?

Currently my program randomly removes words from a set of text and inserts textboxes below the text. The user can then enter his/her answers in the new textboxes. What I would like to do is set the program so the user can have two choices one being Easy and other being Advanced. Then when the user hits either button it brings up everything that is currently on the form. I'd prefer to do this without having to use MDI forms. I've had a hard time using the MDI forms and therefore would like to avoid using them. They way I was thinking this could work is all objects would remain invisible except for the 2 buttons and then when you hit one of them they disappear and everything else appears.

I've been working at this for hours, and I'm completely stumped. There may be a more elegant way to do what I want, but I can't find it in my reference books or online. I have a form that has 64 labels corresponding to 64 unique locations on a map. Each of the labels contains one character, a ●. The program determines, randomly, if these is something in those locations.'m using a For... next loop to step through each location and determine if there is something there.My question is how do I turn off the label in the form without resorting to some 64 choice Select Case statement (or something similar).

i have a dropdownlist in aspx (vb.net) that i have 2 dropdownlists. i want to show the second dropdownlist based on the value of first one. they are data wise interconnected, so if after selecting a certain record in first, if the second one has more than one record, the dropdownlist should be visible, else it should remain hidden. am sure this can be done with javascript, but i just dont know how.
