I am using Nplot at the moment, all is fine and well but I am trying to capture the co ordinates of where the user clicks on the graph.I can see the co ordinates when i float over the graph, but i cant seem to find the class which shows the co ordinate in a little tooltip by the mouse cursor.

Currently have created/extended the DomainUpDown class hoping I would be able to add one simple feature: I was hoping to be able to show a tooltip when the user mouses over the control that would show the next and previous item in the list. However the DomainUpDown class does not have a mouseenter event and overriding the mouseenter method does not seem functional. Is there something I am missing or do I just need to create my own MouseEnter event?

When I right click on a rectangle, I want a messagebox to pop up saying True if the mouse is within the rectangle, and False if it not.
View 6 RepliesI have a ToolTip on a TextBox control. When I hover the cursor over the TextBox the ToolTip appears as expected. But if the ToolTip disappears after it's AutoPopDelay time has expired or if I click on the TextBox while the ToolTip is still showing, then the ToolTip will not appear again when I hover the cursor over the TextBox. Is there any way to cause the ToolTip to reset so it shows up again?

There is also a tton.The tooltip on the thumbnail is quite important as left/right click do different actions but for some reason the tooltip will not display unless the user clicks the form.
View 2 RepliesI have created tooltips on a form from the toolbox and defined them as owner draw. I tied them to either a panel or a grid and they show up as black boxes the size that would contain the text that is assigned. If I had two areas next to each other, the text shows up. Neither the background or the forground color is black, so the black of the box is not from a color assignment. This has worked at one time and I do not know what changed.
View 2 RepliesI am having some bizarre issues with getting focus on the child objects of some user controls that I am developing.The base control, DatePanel, consist of three radio buttons, a textbox, a combobox, and a datetimepicker.Depending on which radio button is selected depends on which of the other controls are visible.The default state of the control has the textbox and combobox visible.When I test the control in the VS test container, I click in the textbox, the cursor appears but I cannot type, if I click in the textbox again then I can type.I have tested enough to figure out that if I click on any other control and then click on the textbox I can type.I have tried adding a gotfocus event for the user control to both Focus and Select the textbox and neither does anything.This user control is on several other user controls that are in development because I didn't catch the behave at the beginning.To make things a little stranger in one of the other controls, I found that if I set the tabindex of DatePanel A to 0 then I was able to type in the textbox after selecting it the first time, however if instead I click in the textbox of DatePanel B the cursor appears in that textbox but when I type the text appears in the textbox in DatePanel.
In terms of code on the DatePanel there are 6 properties and 3 events.The 6 properties return values of the fields on the DatePanel and the three events are for watching the state of the radio buttons.Other than that I did try adding the GotFocus event to no avail.I can provide any code that is needed but between myself and my colleagues we couldn't see anything that would have any influence over the control focus.
I have a DGV that has a hidden column with some text in it. I would like to be able to mouse over any particular row and display the text from that column's field in a tooltip. I thought maybe I could do it in the DGV's MouseHover event, but I did not know how to detect which row the mouse was over. Once I do this, I did not see a .Text property for the tooltip, so how do I set the tooltip's content to be the text from the column field?

I tried using TTS (SAPI 3.5), but can not know which language the user's operating system will have. Also, I was advise to use pre-recorded sound wav or mp3. View 1 RepliesI've been working on a GUI in WPF which I'm fairly new to, having only used Windows Forms up until now. So far, my GUI is very simple: it contains two rectangles, each of which drops a shadow. The shadow creates an effect of rectangles "floating above the canvas" so to speak.
When one of the rectangles is pressed, the myRectangle.MouseDown event is handled such that the shadow goes away, thus creating an effect of the rectangle being pressed down onto the canvas, like a button.Similarly, when mouse button is released, the myRectangle.MouseDown event is handled such that the shadow reappears and the rectangle "floats" again. This behavior make them resemble buttons. Note, there a reasons I want them to be rectangles and not custom buttons.

If the pointer leaves a rectangle while mouse button is pressed, I'd like shadow to reappear. This is arguable simple, because theoretically in this case, any time myRectangle.MouseLeave is raised, the shadow should come back on, even if it was already there.If the pointer left a rectangle when mouse button was pressed, then came back while before the button was released, I want the shadow to disappear again. This one is what gives me problems. No idea how to do this.
