how to raise the mouse leave and mouse hover events for VB when i place my mouse cursor over the button.
When my mouse cursor is over the buttons, it will raise the mouse hover event and open the form, then when the mouse leaves the button, it will close the form upon raising the mouse leave event.
but currently, When i excute this two events, the for will open and close very,very fast. so fast that it is like spamming the VB.
So i am wondering how to change the code that i have to excecute the event one time every time the mouse is over the button which is created at run time.
the codes to execute these two events are:
Private Sub Button_MouseLeave(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
For Each ctl As Control In PictureBox1.Controls
[Code].....

[URL] I have tried heslacher's method which is Hi clzanas, you problems had been the result of calling a for each loop inside the events. If you only want for the button you hoover / leave to call the ShowDetails.Open/close, then you can take the code below:
Private Sub Button_MouseLeave(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
If TypeOf sender Is Button Then
ShowDetails.Close()
[code]....
But i got the same results as my previous code, resulting in the form opening and closing so fast that it is like spamming the window.

I have a DGV that has a hidden column with some text in it. I would like to be able to mouse over any particular row and display the text from that column's field in a tooltip. I thought maybe I could do it in the DGV's MouseHover event, but I did not know how to detect which row the mouse was over. Once I do this, I did not see a .Text property for the tooltip, so how do I set the tooltip's content to be the text from the column field?

want my application to trigger audio files when the user clicks a word/sentence in a label, and show a tooltip on mouse hover. I use VB. I tried using TTS (SAPI 3.5), but can not know which language the user's operating system will have. Also, I was advise to use pre-recorded sound wav or mp3. I created the audio files, but am not able to link/connect/call.

I am looking for a specific custom control. I am drawing some rectangles to my picture box, now I would like to display a tooltip when someone moves his mouse to one of the rectangles, so a hover rectangle-hover event. Does this sound doable at all? If yes

Currently have created/extended the DomainUpDown class hoping I would be able to add one simple feature: I was hoping to be able to show a tooltip when the user mouses over the control that would show the next and previous item in the list. However the DomainUpDown class does not have a mouseenter event and overriding the mouseenter method does not seem functional. Is there something I am missing or do I just need to create my own MouseEnter event?
Private tips As New ToolTip With {.AutomaticDelay = 0, .AutoPopDelay = 0, .InitialDelay = 0, .ShowAlways = True, .ForeColor = Color.WhiteSmoke, .BackColor = Color.Black}
Protected Overrides Sub OnMouseEnter(ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
MyBase.OnMouseEnter(e)
Console.WriteLine("list entered") 'testing purposes, never is printed on mouse enter
tips.SetToolTip(Me, "Up = " & Me.Items(Me.SelectedIndex - 1).ToString & vbLf & "Down = " & Me.Items(Me.SelectedIndex + 1).ToString)
End Sub

I'm putting the finishing touches to a fullscreen Winforms Application in VB (.net 3.5, VS2008). I need to hide the mouse cursor, so I've used:
Me.Cursor.hide()
this works exactly as you'd expect, until a timer triggered event runs (and no, the timer doesn't call Cursor.Show(),ANY event running seems to trigger this, and I have a lot of timers triggering events to control various aspects of my application).What I really want to accomplish is to have my application work like in Media Player, where the mouse cursor is hidden until I move the mouse or cancel fullscreen.Is there any way to hide the cursor until I move the mouse, close my form or exit fullscreen? I've tried lots of things, but can't find anything that actually works correctly (all due to triggered events running).

I have a program that reads pixel colors in other applications, I've got the program working correctly but trying to hovor your mouse over a single pixel on the screen using the standard mouse "Arrow" pointer is a little difficult. I've created a custom cursor that is a cross hair of sorts that makes it easier to target specific pixels, is there a way to change the mouse curse to a specified cursor when the mouse is NOT over the controlling form?

I have an application (OziExplorer) which I launch from my application. The OziExplorer API allows my application to intercept mouse single and double click operations. To make the integration of my application with OziExplorer easier for the user, I'dlike to be able to change the OziExplorer mouse icon, from my applicationto match the tool they have chosen in my application. Is this possible?

i'm trying to work on a seamless 'help' system on my new application, so that throughout the application, people can hover over different aspects of it to display a small window of help, which follows the cursor until the user leaves the aspect they hovered over. I have had a look around and can't find any good code for this, and tried some myself without success.
