Get The Page Documents Counts For Documents Stored As Tif Files
Feb 2, 2010I've been asked to get the page counts for documents stored as tif files. What I have now is looping through our third party software to open them and then get the page count. I can't stop the image from flashing and it is very slow. Does anyone know of a way to loop through them quickly and can the page counts (one image can have many documents)?

Apr 5, 2009So I am hacking together an app which listens to traffic using SharpPcap library, it reconstructs the packets from sessions using the code from TpcRcon.
Listening and reconstructing part work on their own . What I want is on each packet arrival main window gets an event so it can display the packet , and when session is reconstructed display a complete packet (I am interested in HTTP ones) . -That is where it breaks with weird symptoms: for example right now it does not stop on invoking stop listening method - the sharppcap library function hangs there forever waiting on this line of code : m_pcapThreadEvent.WaitOne();//wait for the 'stopped' signal from thread
I also had it not working and crashing in sharppcap function because I had omitted one parameter in form delegate- which makes no sense, because form delegate does not deal with packet capture at all and only reacts on "New Packet" event from my "Listener" class (which is only there to notify main form)
My app starts as module main instancing class "Listener". MainForm has it
registered as friend with event and handles even "New Packet"

So far no matter what I clicked in printpreview, the showdialog returns cancel?How can I tell if the user did print? I'd like to clear the print queue of items if they did actually print to a printer or ask them if I should clear it, but only if they actually did print something.
GDI On Pre-printed Form With Preview?
May 6, 2010With VB or C#, I need to print some pre-printed form (invoice, payroll ..) with a preview on the screen. I do that with GDI+ and PrintPreviewDialog.I have the pre-printed form as a jpg file. First I draw this jpg file then I draw all text to fill the form.

I save this to a file using binary formatting (it's a small amount of information).I want to be able to print this table and data onto paper but I cannot work out how to do it.Do I have to use graphics to design a report? Printing On Pre-printed Forms
May 26, 2012I wrote a program to print deposit tickets using pre-printed deposit forms.The forms are the ones used by Peachtree Accounting.I have used this program with three different printers.All three printers are HP.Now I am using the program but the printer is a Lexmark and the print no longer lines up with the form.The print is now about 3/16" below the place where it was printing.I can change the program to reduce the starting place of the print but if another printer is used the print will be off again.If the HP printer is used then the print will be too high.How can I take this in account for each printer that may be used? Sep 26, 2011I am trying to print an image (from file) to a the printer using a PrintDocument.I am re-sizing my image so that it is scaled to be full page on the printout when I print this the image is cropped slightly.
EDIT 2:I am using the margins to calculate the area to use:

The annoying thing is that when I print to the PrintPreviewDialog it is scaled perfectly but when I print the exact same code to the actual printer it does not fit.

Updating Db When A Document Is Printed, But Not When Only Previewed?
May 6, 2009from a menu the user can choose print/printpreview. When the document is physically print then I wish to update the db to show this. I can put code in the sub that handles the printing but how do I know if the print is for a preview or not i.e. how do I catch the print button from the printpreview dialog? and how do I stop the db update if only previewing?

My problem is when i press the button the data is getting printed in the third line. But I need to make it printed in the second line only, irrespective of the number of time time click event.
