Change Images In VS Depending On Results?

I work with VisualStudio 2008 and write my codes in VBasci.Also,I use Microsoft SQL server 2008 for my database and here is the question;I ve curently been doing a simple hotel software, the step that I ve got stucked in is that, I take the reservations by clicking on buttons those represents rooms in the hotel,buttons have green colour on them because they are available until I take a reservation for that room,and they must be staying green until a customer checks-in..On a check-in day,that room must go to colour of red or somethıng and must'nt be able to take another rezervation into it until the customer checks-out, I ve got 2 people comıng for that room for tomorrow who will stay for 1 night,so today it should stay green whıch means it s available,but by the mid night it must go red and must be not available to take rezervations for tomorrow,once they check-out on the day after tomorrow ıt should go green,so,available again.

I'm trying to gather some WMI data, search that data and depending on the results change the color of a textbox and append some text.I can acheive this using a select statement but was hoping there is a more elegant solution as what I have generates a lot of similar code At the moment, the WMI data contains two properties I'm interested "State" and "ReplicatedFolderName". The"State" value determines the color and text that goes in the text box, however there are different textboxes for each replicated folder name.What I have which works is

I have a list of 12 buttons on a form. I want to label each of them representing a month from left to right starting at the most recent month. So if today is the 12/3/12 my buttons will be in THIS order MAR12,FEB12,JAN12,DEC11,NOV11 ETC UP TO BUTTON 12. I have already written code for it and it works but it is long winded.

Im trying to change the information on each row depending on the result from the query. Im thinking that at the minute my problem is that I'm only returning the first result from the query into the result.
e.g. query returns row 1 with '1232' row 2 '1243' but result is only ever set to '1232'

In my datagridview, I want to be able to change the value of comboBox1 depending on what the user selects in comboBox2
I had this working correctly, however if I move onto a new line in my gridview and select a different value in the second row it changes the previous row also. For instance, on Row1, if comboBox1 = A, combox2 = B
Then on Row2, if comBox1 = Y, comboBox2 = Z
However, when I change Row1, Row2 is also changed to reflect what was chosen in Row1. Is there a way I can tailor it to each specific row?

I have a program where I want my picture box to change depending on what number comes up in a textbox. Lets just say, my picturebox is called PictureBox1. I'd imagine I'd use an IF statement followed by the path type in to change the picture. My question is how do I display a new picture in the picturebox? Whats the code used?

i was wondering if it's possible to load a listbox with files from a folder and depending on the file extension , the file name color would change ex.. if it's a .txt file , then the filename would load as blue , if a image (.jpg) the color would be red , and so on...posibility in a listbox ?

In an application for a Storage company, I have a form with 107 buttons in five Group Boxes. Each Group Box represents a Building and each Button represents a Storage Unit. They are layered in Table Layout Panels, bottom TLP has 5 columns, one for each Group Box, each Group Box has a TLP with 2 columns and 10 rows, where each button is located. What I would like to do is change the color of any button based on the results of a query.
Buttons are called btn1, btn2, btn3..... Text on the buttons is 1, 2, 3, 4,.... I have a table for the buildings and one of the properties is "Available" set as an intger and is either 0(No) or 1(Yes). I have a query that I run on form load that returns the correct results, to test I put a DGV on a form and set the DataSource to the DataSet returned. Returned is the "Available" Buldings Number(1-107)[code]...

How do I reduce flicker in a vb2005 panel?Inside the parent panel I have 2 other panels that I'm am using.
The outer most panel contains a background sprite and the two innermost panels are overlays that change to fit the places in the background sprite.When I change the overlay sprites I would like to reduce the flicker and make it a smooth transition from one sprite to the next.

When I set the button background image in properties, it looks great. When the button is clicked, the image needs to change. I tried to use an image list like this: btnSample.BackgroundImage = ImlStimuli.Images.Item(0)and I tried loading them from a file. I can get them to read, but the image always turns out blurry or distorted. I've tried all variations of alignment, BackgroundImageLayout like stretch/zoom/centered, and I changed flat style, but nothing has worked. Is there a setting or something that I'm missing in properties?

I am building a windows application with different languages, when I change the language of a form visual basic will create a new form for me which i can change the settings for my new language and all was working fine, but recently i recognized that the images i am changing in the other language form is changing the images in the default language form, so i need to create two Resources Folders for images and manaully tells the application which folder to use.

I am having trouble to make a form that displays the picture of the student which all his info is in a datagrid. I used the following

It worked. But, when i click on the next student and go back to the previous, the picture is not there. When I stop the debugging and start again the picture is there but it stops displaying again after going back and forward.

Don't know how to copy images to resources file on VB and create background change button. I am trying to add my graphics folder to the resources folder in my project but I get some kind of error. That's the easy question. Now, I have a panel container in which I want to show an image that will be change about 5 times when I click on my background change button. I have a TextBox that displays a color as its background color and the background color code in its text. I have set the text color as Black.The problem is that if the user sets the color as Black then the color code will be unreadable. I have a form that allows users to select file and then it reads the contents, parses the data and then executes a sql insert statement to add it to a database. What I am having issues with is showing real-time results. Currently, I have the import operation take place on the import form within the OnLoad event. The problem with this is it only shows the final results instead of the results real-time. Is there anyway to do this without creating a seperate thread and delegates?

The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot.
