Checks If The Text In Clipboard Starts With "file"?

I have created a application which checks if the text in clipboard starts with "file", and if it starts with the word file it process the clipboard text and then replaces it with < a href="some value">
For example it clipboard string file:///C:/Users/Searock/Desktop/dotnet/Apress.Pro.VB.2008.and.the.dot.NET.3.5.Platform.3rd.Edition.Mar.2008.html#link22
then the program will process the clipboard txt and then replace it with < a href="#link22">

I have a class that needs to check for errors in the data contained in a object.The routines that will check for errors could be implemented in concrete interfaces of supertype IErrorCheck. That way error checks can be discrete and added or removed from the class that requests the error checks.Each IErrorCheck implementation would be programmed against the supertype IErrorCheck (Strategy).But it would be nice not to recompile when checks are added or removed.Is there an accepted procedure for abstracting the error checks all the way out of the program, such as to read the checks from a file?

I want to create a text file or see if a text file exists when application starts. The problem I was having was after creating the text file, I tried to write to text file and got an error saying that another process was using it.

Couldnt think of a good name for this post but I tried my best.I have a button which checks with a FTP server if the text in a textbox exists as a file. If it does then form1 opens.Sometimes the connection check times out.So Is it possible to make a small code like this? if form1.show (doesnt show after 10 seconds) then go back to the beggining try again end if

I need a small app that randomly shuffles a set of preloaded numbers. The shuffling will be visible on the screen and goes on continuously (looping) until a key is pressed and as soon as that happens it will show the winning number.Am using visual basics 2008 to develop the application but my problem is when i start the app and hit a key it will loop through my numbers on the text file and it will also display the event but if i hit a key to stop it will not stop..I was workin on the app but my problem is how to stop the loop and resume on the with a keypress. below is the app codes.

I would like to take blank secure stock paper and convert it in to a check.
I know you can get magnetic toner and print MICR.
The question is What is the actual font to use or should i get a package and send the data to it to print the check?
Has anybody done it successfully without having to resort to pre-printed checks.

I am unable to read a pasted datagridviewrow object from the clipboard. All I want to do is, when a user has the entire row selected and copied, I would paste that row into the clipboard as a DataObject. That works just fine but when I attempt to read that DataObject (after the user clicks Paste) the DataGridViewRow that's saved in the clipboard always has a value of Nothing. Here's the code I'm using for Copy and Paste.

I want a prompt. Like

If you enter "net users" in the command prompt all the local users on the pc appear. I want a textbox in my app, that if a user types in "kyle", and click the button, the first code I gave starts, and after "net users" the text in the textbox is there as well, so it will look like this:

I wrote a program that copied an image from the clipboard and stored it on a file. The machine I wrote it on ran Vista. When I copied the programs over to a computer running XP the program wouldn't recognize that there was an image on the clipboard. It will recognize that there is text on the clipboard but not images. When I transfer the programs over to a computer running Windows 7 it works just like it did on the Vista machine. So I figure the problem is somehow related to the XP operating system. But how? Lots of programs I use on the XP machine can copy images to and from the clipboard. So why can't the one I wrote in Visual Basic?

I've researched this a little bit and everything I've seen shows how to do this using a textbox within vb.Is there a simply command i can use within a windows form (vb) that will simply say "copy any text selected" essentially mimicking the CTRL + C. This could be in a word doc, web browser, any app.

i have a button in my form which increases the font size of the form by 1. [Code] now when i increase the font size, after increasing by 3 the size of text boxes starts decreasing. this is how the form looks after size+5, when i open the form, the tabpage resize event is called 3 times.

Clipboard.SetText(MyTexo,MyText Format) give me the follow error: Current thread must be set to single thread apartment (STA) mode before OLE calls can be made. Ensure that your Main function has STAThreadAttribute marked on it.

I have a DataGridView which lists the paths of a group of files, pptx, xlxs, etc. From a context menu they can copy the name of the file onto the clipboard, or delete the file or rename the file, but I would like to be able to actually attach the file itself to the clipboard so it could be pasted as an attachment to an email or something like that. How do I get the file itself onto the clipboard when I only have the path to it?
