May 27, 2012I have a program that will compare an array of grocery list items glist and an array of coupon item clist.When I compare the two and if there is a match somewhere in the array I want to have a picturebox visible.When there is no match, I want the picture box not to be visible. [code] The code seems to work great until I come to the else statement.When the code finds a match it displays the picture box and the msgbox without error, but as soon as the message box is cleared, even though i've input it as an ELSE statement, the picturebox goes false again.Does anyone have any idea of how I can "hold" the picturebox to stay visible while the match between the arrays exists?

Here I am creating a temp single dimensional array, merging my 2d array into it, and then attempting to sort it by Rolls(N,1), which is a integer 1-6, Everything seems to be working right with the exception of this.
RollsCC.Sort(RollsCC, 0, 1)
How would one specify a numeral sort based on the first character in the string? im aware that I am switching Rolls(n,1) and Rolls(n,0) information during the sort.

I'm trying to get the program to loop through the array and each time check if the contents of the array space match the selected list item, but I get errors when I try. I know I have the code wrong but I don't know how to fix it.

VS 2010 Compare Image Byte Array?
Dec 25, 2011and i need to convert the image into a text.now anyone thinking that i can just use ocr is unfortunatly wrong i have tried about 5 of them and they dont work because the text in the image is to small for it to recognise it.so i need to search the above image for a smaller image such as this.so by doing this if i get a result saying true then i will be able to go from be there and convert to text.now i know of two way to search an image for a smaller image. first is by going by pixel search and well i can get that to work but it is to slow.the second method is to convert the image to a byte array(beig an image it will be a 2d byte array) and convert the other image to a byte array and then compare.

For each contract, I need to go to a directory and search for a file to import. That part works just fine, but how can I put a qualifier in to check for contracts that have the same start and end date? Do I need to create a multi-dimensional array for this or can I use the query I have? The part in bold text is where I need to identify identical start/end dates. Comments identify pieces to be developed and message boxes to help me confirm what's happening as I run the code:

What would the process be to do this, would i need to create a reference list or stringbuilder for all the tags(there is about 3000 tags) or would it be possible to loop through and count the matches. I declared the Tags thinking that i could do something from there.

May 2, 2012I've small project to do and now I'm stuck in middle. The program is to read the sequential text file and load it into a array/array of structure.The data information is like this (sample):

This is Just as sample data, my original data is more than this.I've open the DATA.txt file using FileStreamReader:

Where index 0 is the ID, index 1 is the name, and index 2 is the Type Then I load the types in the dropdown combobox menu from the array with out duplication. Like this:

How would I parse through the list given an indexed array of 215 possible 'zone alarm locations' and if an alarm log list item, of which there can more than one for any given zone location, compare in the two dimensional array any previous value and replace it with the higher valued one? The following are my declarations for the 2 arrays. It isn't clear to me why the array for the scatter data was defined as (999,1) knowing there are only 215 possible x values (alarm zone locations)

May 18, 2012I am making a question and answer game, and I would like to be able to give the user some slack in the answers if they were to misspell a word by a letter or two, like if the answers was Jumps and they type Jump if you did a comparison of them like If string1 = sring2 then do whatever, but obliviously those to string dont match, so it would return false, even though it is the right answer, I came up with this routine to compare two words and if the percentage of the letters are higher then 82 % right it will give you credit for your answer.
