I'm trying to decide on the best approach for the following senerio in my form: I have a form that contains 3 rows of text boxes and dropdowns. Each row matches the other as far as the objects it contains. There's also a button on the form called Add Another set.
When the user clickes this button, I need to display another set of 3 rows of the text boxes and dropdowns.

I am apart of an online game. With this, I need a program that will CONTINUALLY press the Enter Key. Basically, I will click on the chat box in-game (where you talk) and then I need a program where it will automatically press the enter key. The faster the better. I would like as many times as you can do, once every millisecond, or if it's possible, to do it ALL the time.
View 1 RepliesI have run into this problem a number of times, and I am not sure what I might be doing wrong - or if this is just a bug, or not going to work.I have a collection that I setup on my own (eg, collection class). I then cycle a Log file that has text entires and I read those, and then parse the entry and attempt to add it to my collection.
But as each entry is added, ALL records just get duplicated - in other words, as I add entry 2, both entrys 1 AND 2 wind up with the same values - as I add 3, all 3 entries get the same value - and this continues no matter how many entries. For example,
if I added 100 entries, I would have 100 duplicates of the last record added.I have stepped through the debugger and watched this occur and just cannot figure out why this is not working as it should. Here is the code...

i am having a weird issue with VS 2008 when i go to debug my program. When i click on the play button to run the program it flashes real quick and goes back to the VB IDE. No matter how many times i click on the play button it continually flashes and then goes back without displaying my form window or anything.What type of setting would i need to change in order to correct this issue? I've been through most settings in the "my project" section and i do not see anything that could be causing it to do something like this.My older vb apps I've made seem to work just fine when i click the play button on them. Only noticed this problem whenever i go and make a new vb app.
View 4 RepliesWe have a issue with laptops for the current client in which IE continually shows prompts to users about working offline. The laptops are on a flaky wireless connection (Personally I would much rather fix this but they would much rather just fix this issue, apparently this works better money wise. I have my doubts).
Anyway the issue I'm facing is removing this box from opening at all.. Now there are two ways I can think of doing this. A possible Hook if it is available to catch it before it comes out and stop it. Or the less nice way is to when the box comes up to automatically hit the "try again" option using a sendkeys push.

I am working on Treeview control and Gridview Control VB.NET08. In the Treeview i have Parent and Child Nodes. Like: [Code] Comparing the Parent Node text and first two digits in the Column values. I want to add rows inbetween the gridview rows based on the parent and Child Nodes. If i expand the First Parent Node Called "31" then according to the Number of Child Nodes (for first parent node(31) there are 5 child nodes.) add rows in the gridview.
These New rows should be add under the 31-xxxx. If i expand the 32 Parent Node based on number of Child Nodes, add rows under the 32-xxxx. [Code] I am getting the rows in the end of the Gridrow not in the Specific row.
How would i delete only the successful inserted rows for insert and then move the non successful rows up and allow the user to correct the data and get it ready for an insert. If i dont delete the successful rows then i will have multiple inserts of the same dataRow and we dont want that! AND if i dont move the data up then it will have blank rows uptop and will end the try and not insert the corrected data. when populating a data grid i keep getting a redundant row in the bottom. is there a way to lock grid rows to the number of rows in the data table?

I have the code listed above as a translation from a Java snippet. The problem i have is that in Java, my table was stored as a dataset and as such, the methods were easily identifiable by "getRow" and getCell" using specific numbers and column names. However in VB the information is stored in an MS Access database (which i already have an open connection to, called: "_SalesPerformance_AnalyticsToolDatabaseDataSet12") and as such i do not know the correct way in which to iterate through each row in the database, checking a specific column against an already specified variable and then returning an integer based upon the value of a seperate column in the same row.

Doing this replaces the previous data in the DataTable. I want to retain the previous data i.e i want the new rows to be added to the DataTable w/o replacing the previous rows.
My DataGridView sorts by date. For grins I entered the date 11-02-2010 fully expecting it to be at the bottom of the list, not listed right after the last 11-02-2009 row and before the first 11-03-2009 row.How do I handle this so that come January 1, I won't see all the 01-01-2009 rows listed first followed by the 01-01-2010 rows then the 01-02-2009 rows, etc?

Can anyone tell me why "Rows cannot be programmatically added to the DataGridView's rows collection when the control is data-bound." I keep getting an error "Invalid Operation Exception was Unhandled" error. All I am attempting to do is allow the user to select products from a list(or a second datagridview) and have it added to the datagridview so they do not have to type in every cell since the other cells are not visible because they do not purtain to their needs. Plus they will be able to save all items at the same time.

I have a datagridview that is bound to a datatable (created by dataset designer) with columns RowID, CreatedBy, UpdatedBy and some other columns for actual data.Every time a user updates a row in datagridview, I will need automatically to populate UpdatedBy column with the user ID.Every time a user adds a new record in datagridview, I will automatically populate CreatedBy with user IDI use CellEndEdit event to check whether RowID is Null to determine the row is a new row. This means I have to set RowID AutoIncrement = False. Doing this way will only allow users to add 1 row at a time before they get duplicate row exception due to 2 same RowID.

I have a fair bit of experience with VB.NET and C# (In this case I chose VB.NET, blame my laziness), but I do most of my professional work using PHP. I have no experience what so ever in using any database with VB.NET let alone MySQL.Just FYI, at the moment I am only trying to Query the database to gather the information required to activate. The Activation wizard and algorithm building (which is finished anyway), and everything else will come soon. So, here goes nothing, this is the Query code I am using in PHP to complete the job I want to do in VB.NET. ParentTable (ParentID, Name) for user data ChildTable (ParentID, ActivityID, ...) for schedule data
Tables are linked together at the database level by ParentID which is an Identity column in ParentTable.
Both tables are data bound to a separate DataGridView on the GUI. There supposed to be a "1 parent/N children" relationship between the tables, meaning if I create a new entry in the ParentTable (a new user) I get a clean DataGrid in the child grid to type schedule data for the user. So I setup two DataAdapters for each table to fill their result into a DataSet. I also set up a DataRelation object and assign it to the DataSet to link the two tables by their ParentID columns. Also when I add a row into the ChildTable via DataGrid I use SetParentRow to set the parent row.
