Form Is Adding New Rows In Database But The New Rows Do Not Contain The Form Data?

I have a form that i want to be saved to my database. The form is adding a new record to my sql server 2005 database but it is not bringing the text over with it. The new record in my db is just an empty row. Here is my code.Add to database section ( i have removed the connectionstring for privacy reasons)

I am having trouble adding a row to a databound datagridview on a parent form from a child form. I have two forms, one contains a datagridview that is bound to a table using 'datagridviewbindingsource' and contains an 'add' button. The second contains a checked listbox that is populated correctly and has a "Cancel" and an 'OK' button - when i check several items in the child form, i would like to hit okay and update the bindingsource of the datagridview on the first form with the checked items.

I am using visual basic express 2008 . and i am adding few rows to the database using some stored procedure. it is working fine. after adding the row i am displaying in a grid using dataset . fine.but when i close the program and reopen the program i can't see any rows in the database..
I don't know the problem.this is my code to create a procedure.

I'm am very new to Vb.net, I have coded in VBA.I have created a form that will open Microsoft Excel, add header text to the columns, and insert the text from a few of the controls located on my form ("not finished adding controls") when I click the Submit button.
My problem is that when I enter different data into those controls and click the submit button again, I get a new Excel Workbook with the new data.I need the new data the be submitted to the .Activecell.Offset(1,0) of the already open workbook.Ultimate Goal of Submit button is to open new Excel workbook, Enter multiple rows of data via Visual Basic Form.
What could be the code if I want to add the value in the 1st row and 2nd row. I want the total to be displayed in Label1.text. I'm just a beginner in Datagridview.Anyway, I didn't put the code because this is just a very small portion of the program that I am creating.
Is there a way to add rows to a DGV as I want to add information from another form to the DGV. The .Rows.Add() does not work as I am told I can not add rows to a data bound grid.Short of unbinding the DGV and re writing everything, I can not see how to do it.

i have datagridview populated with stock code, name and description.And i have docked my datagridview to the bottom. so whenever the form is resized, the bottom section will be occupied completely with the datagridview.But i want to display one extra empty column and multiple empty rows to completely fill in the datagridview.The extra empty column width will be adjusted to the right end side of datagridview.And the no of empty rows will be generated based on how many is required to fill up to the bottomSo that i can create datagridview with full column and row even though some columns or rows are empty.
Can anyone tell me why "Rows cannot be programmatically added to the DataGridView's rows collection when the control is data-bound." I keep getting an error "Invalid Operation Exception was Unhandled" error. All I am attempting to do is allow the user to select products from a list(or a second datagridview) and have it added to the datagridview so they do not have to type in every cell since the other cells are not visible because they do not purtain to their needs. Plus they will be able to save all items at the same time.

I am trying to select multiples rows from a database table and insert the text into several "label" controls. For example, if the database search returns 5 results. then insert the first row's text into label 1, the second row's text into label 2, and so on. The number of rows will be variable. I was thinking of a while statement. I am having a problem understanding how to even seperate multiple rows from a query in VB. Would using an array for the query results be the right way to go? row one would be row(0), row two's text would be row(1), etc.
I have a form with the datagridweiw object. I have connected it to the datasource and it displays the data fine. I also have set the persissions for editing. I am assuming i need a button for accepting changes to table and a button to cancel. My use for the form is to add or delete rows of data and save the changes. I have a postgresql database, one table. This table has a date column too.And I have this code:

The problem is, that the pgreader returns no rows (the parameters are right and the database contains the data too).firstday and lastday are f.e. '2005.05. 01.', the ConvertDate function converts the date to '2005-05-01' (the dates are storen in this form in the database)And when the commandtext="select * from arfolyamok where datum between '2005-05-01' and '2005-05-31'", then it works, the pgreader has the rows.Why? What make I wrong?
I have a vb.net web application and when a particular function runs , i get data timeouts in the rest of the application..(ie..row not found errors or column does not belong to table but it does) The function is adding multiple rows in multiple tables in the database and is running in a for loop. It seems to be all SQL related but I am not seeing anything in the error logs in SQL or in the application Right now I am assuming it is memory related where to start note..the for loop will be replaced with a bulk insert but right now I jest need to resolve the issue of the timeouts
My problem with AddNew. It really is somewhat simple, but I can't figure out the solution. I have a form where I show a list of my rows with a given a table. The user can then select a row and press clone, which then will try to make a copy of that row.

.... and continue to copy the rest of the data to the newrow...One of the items in the row is obviously a primary key called id. I can not copy this data since I am creating a new row. My problem is, how do I set that value!? or atleast retrieve the value for the newly added table. I need that value so that I can call another form to actually allow the user to modify this newly cloned data. I tried using EndEdit, UpdateAll, no worky. THen I thought I could assume that the newly added row would go at the end of the table so I used MovedLast then got the currentRow id from there... That worked well until we did some deletes within the table.
Well i just tried to turn Rows cells that contain the word Yes into green on form load when i put that code into a button it worked but on a form load i didn't work !

I have a Windows application form. Directly on the form I have a lable ("Customer Names"), a ComboBox (pulling actually names from a database) , and a Buton to add a customer to the database if i choose. Additionally I have ControlTab(3 tabs) that has "fields" and its own Buttons to insert data into a different table. I made a form with text boxes in a 6x6 square pattern. It will do a streamreader from a text file a number that indicates the size of the array. Then fill in the boxes with the numbers of the array. Then it will calculate the rows and columns to see if they add up to a single answer. Then it will display to an output window if it is a magic square or not. Meaning if all rows and columns add up to a single number its magic. If they dont add up to the same number then its not magic. Then it will repeat this check and output from the information of the other arrays from the text file.
I know how to code for the streamreader and get it to add the rows and columns. Im not sure about what code I need so it can check the answer if its magic or not and repeat it till the end.

I am working on Treeview control and Gridview Control VB.NET08. In the Treeview i have Parent and Child Nodes. Like: [Code] Comparing the Parent Node text and first two digits in the Column values. I want to add rows inbetween the gridview rows based on the parent and Child Nodes. If i expand the First Parent Node Called "31" then according to the Number of Child Nodes (for first parent node(31) there are 5 child nodes.) add rows in the gridview.
These New rows should be add under the 31-xxxx. If i expand the 32 Parent Node based on number of Child Nodes, add rows under the 32-xxxx. [Code] I am getting the rows in the end of the Gridrow not in the Specific row.
How would i delete only the successful inserted rows for insert and then move the non successful rows up and allow the user to correct the data and get it ready for an insert. If i dont delete the successful rows then i will have multiple inserts of the same dataRow and we dont want that! AND if i dont move the data up then it will have blank rows uptop and will end the try and not insert the corrected data. You can better see what logic i am trying to perform at the bottom of my code, right after I insert into the database. Here is my code.
