i am trying to create a vb application which creates pdf documents by taking xmls as input.I want to get the table of contents for the pdf being created in the following format

heading1 ----------------page number
heading2---------------page number
heading3-----------------page number

using the chapters and section functions of itextsharp , all i can get is

heading1
heading2
heading3

getting the page numbers beside the appropriate entry..!??

Creating a pdf document using Itext is quite simple if your application is a web application because you can find samples to help you out all over the web. Creating a pdf document for a windows application on the other hand is not so easy. I cannot find a single sample online anywhere.so far this is what I have:

I have an old ASP.NET project originally done in ASP.NET 1.1 w/ iText.NET and converted to .NET 2.0 and iTextSharp 4.1.6.0. It uses lots of Table (I'm assuming pdfptable wasn't an option at the time it was created.) I am trying to convert this code to use the latest iTextSharp 5.0.0 dll and now see Table and cell have been removed. I started converting it anyway and soon found there is no equivalent to a lot of the functionality that Table offered. Mainly AddCell no longer allows a col,row setting. There are literally thousands of these calls in this code and the posibility of changing it to generate linearly row by row looks hopeless at the moment. The current code looks something like:

I've been using in the last weeks in this computer are VS2010 with a little Excel, GIMP and Chrome, Why all of a sudden many folder of my computer have a file called "OneNote Table Of Contents.onetoc2"?I checked and, yes, I have OneNote installed here, but I never used it, I didn't even know I had it.I searched around, and I only found articles talking about OneNotes configuration, but I never used it, so... did something that I did with Excel or Visual Studio told OneNotes to start creating those files?

Creating Document Management Structure Using Hidden Shares

I need to add some document management functionality into my software. Documents will be grouped by company name and project name. The folders need to be accessed by the application using the id numbers of clients/projects, but also easily browsed by the end user using windows explorer. Clients and Projects will be stored in a database. I am thinking of having the software create the folders using the friendly name and then using a hidden share with the id number for the software to access the files. [Code]

By using the hidden share, if the company name changes or its renamed for some reason it doesn't break the link in the application because its using the hidden shared based on the ID that never changes. Will having hundreds (maybe thousands) or hidden shares on a server provide a huge performance hit? Does any one have any suggestions or alternatives to provide this feature?

I have been trying to figure out how to read paragraph content which exists a heading. The heading itself is part of the table of contents. The heading will have a particular style (say Heading 1). For example: "Introduction" is a entry in Table of content with style Heading 1. I want to read content under heading "Introduction" but not any more content (i.e not content under sub headings of Introduction) I have been trying to do this using styles/style, TableofContent, Paragraphs/Paragraph,Range. I'm trying to read the table of contents from a CD and am having problems with the DeviceIOControl function. When I call it with a control code of IOCTL_CDROM_EJECT_MEDIA or IOCTL_CDROM_LOAD_MEDIA it works fine, and opens or closes the CD drawer. But when I call it with a code of IOCTL_CDROM_READ_TOC_EX it gives an error code of 6 (ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE). I'm using the same handle, so I can't see why it's complaining. It's possible that the input data that I'm giving it is wrong, but I don't think that it should give this particular error in that case.
