View 4 RepliesI'm trying to make a program to fill out a form on a website (proo.info). This page has one text field called "u" and a button called "Submit". I have the code ready, and the program does the following:
- Navigate with a webbrowser to proo.info (the page I've said before).
- Fill in the text field on the page with data from a textbox.
- And here comes the error, can not get the program press the submit button.

I am using a WebBrowser-Control to fill in a webform and then click at a button, this currently results in a standard Download File Dialog (you get these if you download a file using internet explorer), but instead, I have to catch this file and save it automatically with a by me defined name to a specific folder.I am trying to code a little application in vb.net which download the Export-file from my wordpress-blog, and I want to do this completely without user-interaction.Currently everything works, except the downloading of the file.I tried to catch it with the event System.Windows.Controls.WebBrowser.Navigating(ByVal Object, ByVal System.Windows.Navigation.NavigatingCancelEventArgs) but I don't see where to download the file from?
View 3 RepliesI am very very new to VB.NET and would like to ask a simple question. I want to create a vb.net program and allow visitors to a website to download this program. However, I prefer not to have visitors download a zip folder. I would like to have a program that just gives a prompt to save in a selected folder, once the saved file is selected it prompts the person to download, and then when finished prompts the person to run the program. The reason is twofold:
1. I don't like the extra step involved with unzipping the file. and 2. I don't like the visitors having to look for the "main" file program within the new downloaded folder. So is there any way to have just one file for others to download without having it in a zip folder?

View 7 RepliesRecently we decided to make a web based game that I would like to see on a web page. Prblem is I have no idea how I would get my website to see the program and run it. I'm fairly decent with Vb its self but ASP is completely new to so Im ultra newb. My understanding about using ASP is since its Microsoft based you can't use any tools like WAMP or PHP Admin or anythign I currently have to get ASP programs to run but I could be wrong. My home page contains three Dropdownlist controls, the lists are populated from my database i created ie. (From three tables)- Courses, Grades and Schools.
I want a situation whereby a user clicks on any of the Courses, or the Grades, or any of the Schools from my dropdownlist controls, and selects the search button, the names of the students that took the course, their grades in that course, and their schools should appear in a table form. if its a Grade that is selected, the names of the students with the grade, their courses and their schools should also appear in a table form. And likewise the School.

So users don't have to download it without checking the features, etc. Is there anyway to upload it to my website? I have a good amount of website coding experience in HTML and PHP, but not to much with Java and JavaApplets, etc.

View 2 Replieswant to make a custom calendar. For that I made a table of 7 cols and 6 rows and added 42 buttons in it. I added an event handler. I used this file in other form and when I click at the button the event is fired in form2. I understand this is not hte efficient way to add so many buttons. As it is a calendar, so I got to add dates to buttons based on month selected.I am finding that part difficult. For this feature, I think I should add buttons dynamically. But I can't make out how to add buttons to each cell of the table. Later on each buttons text will also change. I have added the code written so far :
