So far I can only do that with Particular files
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Dim fileDetail As IO.FileInfo = My.Computer.FileSystem.GetFileInfo("c:\users\owner
[Code].....
With the following imported namespaces in my project :
Imports System.Windows.Forms
Imports System.Reflection
.. I cannot add..
[code].....
VB 2008, DataGridView,DataGridView1_CellLeave(sender, New System.EventArgs)
"Unable to cast object of type 'System.EventArgs' to type 'System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs'."
What is the Correct String for "New System.EventsArgs"
Anybody there is to help me out.

Process.Start("D:\HRIS\HRIS Project\HRIS Help\HRISHelp.chm")
It worked fine, but when I published my application, I got the following error:

View 1 RepliesI have a Windows Forms application built in VS2005 and migrated to VS2008. I copied this application from one development computer to another, and now it states <the system cannot find the reference specified> for every single reference. These references are basic things like System, System.Data, System.Windows.Forms, etc. I cannot even look at the forms since it cannot find the reference to the DLL.
The computer the application was copied to has VS2008 installed and I can find the references in the appropriate location of (C:WindowsMicrosoft.NETFrameworkv2.0.50727) and also in the GAC (C:Windowsassembly)
However, even if I try to remove the references and add them back in again it still says it cannot find the specified references.
I am trying to compress and uncompress files. I have read that System.IO.Packaging might suit my needs, but I can not find it. I am using VS 2008 professional. Imports System.IO.Packaging at the top of class does not work (it throws an error). I did find system.io.compression. Does this replace packaging? If it does, does it handle .7z and .rar files?

I've created a class library in Visual Studio 2008, and when I try to add the dll as a reference, I get the message in the title for the Path field in my project references. I've been going for a week trying to figure out this issue, and I haven't been able to come up with anything. The strange thing is I can add the same reference to a Visual Studio 2010 project, and it works perfectly fine.I used VS 2008 to build it because the dll isn't used in house and needs to be compatible with .Net 3.5.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to make a toolkit of all the software that I use to do virus removals, PC Tune-Ups etc.. The issue that I am having is I cannot get the program to execute. For Example: I have created a small program with several buttons on it that I would like to execute specific programs that I have when they are Clicked. If I Click the 'Combofix' button, I would like 'Combofix' to start.
On my computer all the button functions work properly they execute the program that i have coded them to execute just fine on MY COMPUTER. However, when I publish the program and migrate all the publication to another computer the buttons do not work properly. My first thought is that I do not have them directed properly. As if the program does not have the other software (combofix) being copied with it.
This is the Error that I get - 'The system cannot find the file specified.'
This is the directory that i am using - Private
I keep getting that error but im sure i have it right. Heres an example of my code
Process.Start("C:\Program Files\Flock\Flock.exe"e")
I use the System.Diagnostic.Process.Start(filename) to start an associated application to open the filename. All the files I tried worked in the Win 7 32-bit systems. But on any Win 7 64-bit system, if the filename is a Windows Journal file (.jnt file), I got the exception "The system cannot find the file specified". I used VS 2008 for both Win 7 32-bit and Win 7 64-bit.

I am using VS 2008, Office 2007, and Win7 Home Premium on my system.I have a simple application which should be a breeze to build. All I am attempting to do is pull data from an Access database with four small tables into a data grid on a windows project. Should be simple, set up the data connection, choose a datagrid from the table in the data source view, drag it onto the page and done, right?I can't get it to work. It will all work fine until I attempt to run or debug the project. The data will not show up. The data grid does, but I get this error: A first chance exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in System.Data.dll
As I said, the project seems to build fine, but it will not pull the data. After the initial build I get the message that Windows will show this page in Compatibility View. Is it something with Win7 Home Premium, or a setting somewhere?
