why does vb does not recognize my import statement?
So I have a code atm that has 2 combo boxes, one to select the make, then it will enable the model, I have 3 model choices, here's code: [code] Once I have selected my model of the car, it takes me to that specific form with a picture of that model, I then want to display individual parts, with individual prices that will add up in a text box above.

Now, the trick is, I need to have it where each Estimate can have its own individual parts list. It needs to be this was as each estimate could have just one part, or many parts. How can I do this effectively? I already have the tables and the layout of the app, I just need to get it all connected up.

Up to now, my programs are installed in individual computers, and I use the data collected using Win32 classes (such as bios, board, and processor) to lock my program to those computers to avoid piracy. However, I am currently preparing two programs that will be installed in servers and accessed by more client computers. My problem is that I once read some ways of doing the same thing with server (accessing the hardware info of the server), but I simply can't find it again in my archive. My idea is simply to lock the program to the hardware info of the server computer, so wherever the person runs the program, it will be first checked the server hardware info, if it matches, only then, it will run. My client server is Windows Server 2003, and I am programming with VB2k5.

I have never made a notepad like program just calculators and felt like learning how to link/find the parts to make save, open, format, and some other extras but I have NO code. I can't move on unless I know the parts needed and what the code for one of them is if I can link the save as button on the menu bar to the part needed to save I can figure the rest out besides the format that it saves in.

View 1 RepliesI created a hangman game and It works well when I debug, but when I publish and place it on my son computer, when you guess a letter wrong it shows an error and says it can't find the images. I just it is something that I'm doing wrong but I don't know what. Some of the thing that I have tried is including the images in resources. I believe that it has something to do with the startup path, the path that the images are looking for does not exist. The installer installs the program in the programs file

I am writing a quick program to display the network information of a computer without having to run ipconfig or enter the TCP/IP settings on the network adapaters.I have managed to pull the computer name, local IP address and the external IP address, but I now need to get the default gateway, the subnet mask and the DNS resolvers.I have tried using the registry, but the key differs from computer to computer, so that method has been ruled out.

I'm running windows 7 64 bit and using VS 2010. I'm trying to use the filesystem.getfiles to find a file on the computer and return the path for it. However, when I search C:/ and its subdirectories, it always throws an error: "A first chance exception of type 'System.UnauthorizedAccessException' occurred in mscorlib.dll"
I've looked everyone online and can't find a solution. I have administrator privileges and really I dont want people who use my app to have to adjust security settings for this to work. Is there not a way to search the C drive for a specific file and return its path? [Code]
Using any version of .NET how do you find out which zone a particular share is classified under. I am having a problem identifying if a share where my referenced dlls reside is in the "intranet zone" or "internet" zone relative to some user machine that is running my .NET application. I suspect this is a problem because I am having a problem accessing referenced dlls from a share on some machines but not others. View 1 RepliesI am clueless on the whole thing and been reading a lot about it. So far, I saw some samples which are poorly documented and oritend to vb.net 2005. Is there any SDK oriented to vb.net 2010 and well-documented? After converting 2005->2010, it gives me errors and so I can't see the samples. Gruile SDK seems to work fine but it is very badly documented. I donno how it is initialized and interacted with at all as their API reference is poorly written.
