Function Which Validates A Masked Exit Box Date Format

I have wrote a function which validates a masked exit box date format. I have entered into the Mask property 00/00/0000 which on screen translates to __/__/____, great. If I get an invalid date I want to clear the content and reset the focus back giving a message box warning. [code]It all seems to work until I then try to enter a new date. The first number a press seems to push the mask characters to the right and then the rest works. So if I entered 01/01/2009 I end up with _1/01/2009.

I have a dataSet that I am using to populate a masked text box field. The mask is set to ShortDate ("00/00/0000") but when the number is inserted into the text box it is not formatted correctly and is inserted and the date 2004-04-07 looks like 47/20/04 1 in the masked text box.
what I can do in order for it to read correctly?

When retrieving rows from an SQL Server table I use the following code select mydate, Customer, Details from sales where mydatetime >= '" & format (somedate, "MMM d, yyyy h:mm:ss tt") & "'"This works fine unless the clients computers windows Region setting is 'English (New Zealand)'The default time format in windows Region and Language for New Zealand is [code]On computers with this region setting I get an SQL Error 'Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string'..If I manually select the other option for AM symbol, PM symbol in Region and Language i.e AM PM the all works fine again..What format string can I use so that above code always works, even if the Region time format is a.m. / p.m.

I am new to visual basic. I am putting a masked text box that is data binded. Example social security number 000-00-0000. When the cursor is on the masked field, a can no longer exit the field. I tried a couple of things on the forums but it has not worked yet. It could be a very simple but I am failing to see it.

with a system of regional date configuration as dd/MM/yy
isdate("13/08/10 10:00") ' returns true, but with a system of regional date configuration as MM/dd/yy
isdate("13/08/10 10:00") ' returns false
how to handle this situation, all i need is i want to check a string for convert able to valid date format & then convert the same.

example: inside regional date format setting i set "Short date format dd/MMM/yyyy" and inside vb.net program i set "strSQL = strSQL & ",'" & Date(Date.Now.ToString("dd/MM/yyyy")) & "'" ----> working fine. if user changed the regional date format setting to other format like "mm/dd/yy" facing problem during saving record into sql table. error date conversion. It's possible to avoid using computer regional date format from vb.net? or have any other way...

i have several masked textbox connected to mysql database through a website i made, and what i'm trying to do is have these masked textbox automatically change the format what the user inputs to "hh:mm tt" so if the user inputs 6 or 600 or 6p it will automatically change it to the format to 6:00 PM.I know that i will have to use the Validated event and I've tried the Format(maskedtextbox1,"hh:mm tt") but can't seem to work. I would rather not use datetimepicker because i dont want the user have the option of using the dropdown.

I use a masked textbox, and I would control the input, the problem is, I use 1 textbox and the control should on the first 2 digits with a maximum of 24 and the last 2 digits with a maximum of 60. Is there a possibility to program this?

In Visual studio 2005 using VB, I've just started using a masked textbox to input time in the 24hr format.In the Input dialog box , I've set the mask to : Time(European/Military) and checked the : Use validating Type box.[code]Problem: The user can enter numbers which do not match the time format.Example:25:75 or 23:66 , etcI would just like to restrict user input to the numbers required for the 24hr format only.Also, if anyone can provide me with a link to some working examples of masked textboxes.

When populating the data into a date masked text box for display, I am not getting the zeros in front of the month and day resulting in the date 07/02/1974 displaying as 72/19/74.
How do I insure the month and day have the correct format before the masked tb gets filled. The data type in SQL is small date and displays in the table as 1974-07-02 vS2008 / SQL2008

I have a process which grabs the birthdate and from a data table and display them in a masked text box for viewing and editing However when pushing the data into the textbox any preceding zeros get removed For example 05/05/2005 would display as 55/20/05__
The masked Text box is set up as 00/00/0000 The line which assigns the code is:

The user can only input today's date and tomorrow's date. How can I get it? Example valid dates are: Today's date: March 01, 2011 and tomorrow's date: March 02, 2011 if the dates are not valid then error.

I am developing an application that inserts text into another application. No problems at all finding handles and using SendMessage to insert text into their standard edit boxes/combo boxes/etc.My problem is that when I attempt to insert text into what appears to be a masked

I'm creating a VB app that uses the Infragistics UltraGrid to display data from 2 JD Edwards files. Before the data is displayed, first I need to convert 2 date fields that are in JD Edwards Julian date format (i.e., 111158 for 6/07/11....the 158th day of this year) to mmddyy format.

So I'm passing a masked telephone number in the form of (999)999-9999 to a Function that 'strips' the numbers out and puts them into a string that I then use in an Update SQL statement. So far I have the code below that of course doesn't do anything:

I am attempting to import data in a batch from an Excel Worksheet to a Sql Server database. Everything works except for the one date field in the spreadsheet. The date returned is off by four years from the value in the spreadsheet. Example: The Excel sheet has a date 10/24/2010 14:18, but when I look at the column in my query, the date is 10/23/2006 2:18. This pattern, 4 years and 1 day earlier, is repeated for every row in the worksheet.
The Excel column comes to me as a custom type, formatted m/d/yyyy h:mm. I receive this from an outside vendor and having them change the column is not going to be my simplest solution.
For what it's worth, the relevent part of the query is:
Select [Date Created] From MyWorksheet

I am using ASP.NET with SQL Server 2005.
My date get saved in the database with data type = "smalldatetime".
I am displaying the date value into a text box called txtDate with a Reader......
