Get An Image From Clipboard And Save It To A File?
Feb 12, 2011
Im trying to get an image from clipboard and save it to a file (.bmp)
Here is my
Private Declare Sub keybd_event Lib "user32" (ByVal bVk As Byte, ByVal bScan As Byte, ByVal dwFlags As Long, ByVal dwExtraInfo As Long)
Private Const VK_SNAPSHOT = &H2C
[Code].....
Btw (For the first code)If I press the Button the first time and i paste it manually(ctrl+v) to the paint the printscreen image is appeared. Also If i debug the code it works perfectly and it produces the .bmp file.
So im thinking its a timing issue , so I put a sleep(3000) after the keybd_event(VK_SNAPSHOT, 0, 0, 0) command and it still doesnt work.
I have a picture box and if I use Clipboard.SetImage(PictureBox.image) Then I can only paste the image into things like Paint and MS word. I can't paste it as a file into a folder/desktop.So how can I copy the image to to the clipboard and if gets pasted to a folder then it becomes a file?
I wanna make an application to monitoring lan PC webcams,i have a appwinstyle.hide application that acess to webcam and copies a frame from it 'gets a frame to clipboard
I am writing a little program to convert LaTeX snippets to images which can be pasted into whatever program one can paste images into. It's working alright but the next obvious step is to include the source LaTeX code as a piece of metadata in the image so that the results can be modified without having to retype everything.
I have succeeded in adding a title PropertyItem with the latex encoded as an ASCII byte array as its value (id=800, type=2, value=System.Text.Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes(codestring)). I verify that the PropertyItem is really there before trying to put the image on the clipboard.
Then I do Clipboard.SetImage(myImage). The result is all of the PropertyItems are removed (my title plus anything else that was there)! I check this by doing MsgBox(Clipboard.GetImage.PropertyItems.Count.ToString) which gives zero.
This way, the copiedImage has the same PropertyItems as the original. However, new problem:
Other programs don't recognize what's on the clipboard as an image anymore, which defeats the whole purpose. I.e., if I put an image on the clipboard this way, when I try pasting into some context that accepts pasted images, nothing happens.
i made a vitual dekstop and i have a few problems that to be fixed. The first problem i have is that i have a picturebox as the entire form like the desktop background but the progrblem is that i have some group boxes over that picturebox box. How can i make so you can see throw the group box so that you can see the image behind it. And how can i save a picturebox image without a save file dialog
I know to get an image's size if its a file, but what if it is located in the clipboard? I really don't want to save it from the clipboard as a file only to read its size.
I wrote a program that copied an image from the clipboard and stored it on a file. The machine I wrote it on ran Vista. When I copied the programs over to a computer running XP the program wouldn't recognize that there was an image on the clipboard. It will recognize that there is text on the clipboard but not images. When I transfer the programs over to a computer running Windows 7 it works just like it did on the Vista machine. So I figure the problem is somehow related to the XP operating system. But how? Lots of programs I use on the XP machine can copy images to and from the clipboard. So why can't the one I wrote in Visual Basic?
The images on my e-commerce website are watermarked with an aspx script, therefore when you are browsing products, if you want to save the image it saves it as aspx rather than jpg or png. The thing is I need to give urls of jpg for a website that advertises products. There are more than 10,000 products so I can't save all of them manually, so I made a page with jquery that get's the image part of the product display page. What this page returns is this:
And the output is only an image. How can I return this image not as an aspx page but as a jpg or png? Since there's a script for watermarking the image and making it aspx, shouldn't there be a reverse function?
I have created a VB.net desktop based application for my staff image uploading. How I can upload my staff photo in a specified ftp folder using my application.
I have seen a different behavior before, but this time my application just doesn't work properly when debugging, while it does everything perfectly after compilation.
My project is beginning and does just one thing: monitor the clipboard and save its contents to a XML. It has just one form (frmMain), which, when loaded, puts itself in Windows clipboard listening, via WIN32 API. Then, whenever receives a message, the form has to check if it's from clipboard and, if so, saves the actual contents.
The code is below:
Public Class frmMain
Private Const WM_CLIPBOARDUPDATE As Integer = &H31D Private XmlDocument As System.Xml.XmlDocument
[CODE]...
So, as I've said, after compiling, everything works perfectly. However, when debugging the "AddItems" function is never called. I set a stop point in the line Win32 API is called (in frmMain_Load) and the execution NEVER STOPS THERE! Debugging line by line, I found out that after executing some lines from frmMain_Load, VStudio just jumps to WndProc and never comes back to frmMain. I mean, the form is shown, and the rest of its initialization code is never executed. Because of that, my form is never added to clipboard listening (this command is at the end of frmMain_Load) and, consequently, all messages my window receives are not from clipboard, and, therefore, nothing is saved.
Is it normal to VStudio just bypass some code because a event triggered other method? This could lead to lots of complications and it's not consistent with after compiling behavior. A proof that what I said is actually happening is this: I passed the last 5 lines from frmMain_Load (where the Win32API is called) to the beginning, so my program would call the API before initializing the XML file. OK, now what I have: the API is called, but the XML commands are never executed. Consequently, "AddNewEntry" is called, but I have a null-reference error, because my XML was never initialized. Have you ever faced that bizarre behavior? What can I do so my debugging is correct and I don't have to compile my program for each test I want to do?
I'm trying to use an image as the fill in a series in a bubble graphic. I know we can set what's in the clipboard as the filling of a bubble, but when I try to record the macro nothing happens...
Can anyone tell me what's the code to put an image from the clipboard as the fill from the selected bubble series?
but i have this exception call System.UnauthorizedAccessException which access to the path i wanted to save is denied. however, if i just save the original pic using FUImage.SaveAs(physicalFolder & FUImage.FileName) it is able to work. i just want the pic to be resized and save it.
Now, if any user enters the year, and uses the browse button to select any photo, and then clicks submit, i want that particular photo to be uploaded and saved on the my file system ( where the code is present).
I am using Vb 2008 Express edition. I have created an image with line on the picturebox. Here is my
Private Sub PictureBox2_Paint(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs) Handles PictureBox2.Paint Dim blackPen As New Pen(Color.Black, 2)
I need to create a function which accepts a single value of integer which specifies the width/height of the resulting image, which will only have a single black pixel in the upper left corner and the rest being transparent and saved as a gif file.
Code that opens image file this code works properly Private Sub MenuItem4_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles FromFile.Click PBDisplay.Visible = False If OpenFileDialog1.ShowDialog() = DialogResult.OK Then PBDisplay.SizeMode = PictureBoxSizeMode.AutoSize [Code] ......
This code is what I am using to save image after it is re sized, It will not save the new image, it saves the old image and the old size. I am using a picture box to import the image into, then I am resizing the picture box and the image. But when it is saved it reverts to the original image. Private Sub MenuItem6_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Save.Click If SaveFileDialog1.ShowDialog = DialogResult.OK Then PBDisplay.Image.Save(SaveFileDialog1.FileName) End If End Sub
I am newbie here and sorry if I post at wrong section if I did it. May I know how to do that in vb.net? I try response.addheader but it seems this can only work but cannot save the image file to my document.
I have this code which saves an "Image" to a SQL Server database:
vb.net
'You have the images in the PictureBoxes, now you need to store it as a Reference Image 'if the user has selected that option Dim ms2 As New MemoryStream()
[Code].....
I am working on a PHP site at the moment that is having trouble reading that data to display the image, so I am attempting to not only save it to the DB, but also save it as a bitmap or other file type to the actual server.
How can I create an image file (not really picky on which file type) from the "arrImage()" data above?
i would like to upload a File with the Fileupload-Control to a MSSQL 2005 Database. I use Visual Studio 2010 an VB.NET I have also wirte a Code, but i get a Error-Message if i klick die Upload-Butten. "The Website is not available"Why the error-message cam? or can i optimize the code more?
