Next i have tried that code to get the from "1/1/2009" to "3/1/2008" using datetime picker but this error is found 'For' loop control variable cannot be of type 'Date'.
I have a datetimepicker and combobox on my form. If a user does not change the date on dtpicker or does not change text on combo box, these controls return null value, and the save operation fails. The controls are bound to data in a database.

In order for it to roll up, I have to change my focus to a different area.Is there anyway to make it rollup when a day is clicked? It feels awkward the way it is now.

I have a Datetime Picker on a form.
When I use dtArrival.value for instance, it gives me the date in the format "24/04/2010 10:54 PM"
Is there a way that I can grab the value in the format "YY/MM/DD" e.g the value would return "10/04/24"?
Also whats the easiest way to calculate the number of days between two datetime pickers on the same form? I've tried to do it and it's just a mess.

I've managed to get the data back okay from the tables but what I want to do is filter that data dynamically based on values input by the user from a combo box and a date time picker. Each of the data grids display production data for a machine but the combo box and date time picker will allow the data to be filtered by shift and date respectively - how to I pass the values of these to the SQL query returning the data?

I have all of the source code for a game I wrote ten years ago (with VB5 using DirectSound and DirectInput from DX7) and I would like to get it working with the latest VB and DirectX (and use Direct2D also) but the first problem is that I can't even find how to "include" directx into a project. I was hoping to make a small example app to figure out what I need to do to update my code and what capabilities D2D has, but I can't even get out of the gate with DirectX.

In the immediate window if I try Convert.toDate(datepicker1.text).toString("dd-MMM-yyyy")it is showing date as 29-Sep-2009 but the value of startDate is 09/29/2009 I really don't understand why the value is not set in startDate variable as 29-Sep-2009
I have to select only month from a date picker Control. I know there is Date Format Property available for the same purpose and i am pretty happy with that.
The only problem is that when I open my date picker popup, the date picker calendar popup is in Month - Mode. Is it possible to be same on Year Mode.
I need to allow the user to select the month regardless of the day of the month.
And Also, I don't want to display the inner date of calendar control which is placed just below on calender control.
Is there any way to override DateTimePicker or what would be the best way to reproduce the DateTimePicker behavior if this is not possible ?
