The above codes work in IE. But in Chrome when I click a cell in datagrid the corresponding value does not show in the textbox. I am using VS2008. What could be the reason?

Jun 8, 2011I am creating an application for a college assignment called "Quote Manager" - the idea is a writer can save his / her favourite quotes, then go back to them and be able to print them.So I had this idea where all the quotes are loaded into a datagrid view on the main screen of the program and the user can double click on the quote he / she wants to load.
I don't want any code given I would also post what I have got so far but at the moment I am at work.What I want is to know how to manipultate the datagridview control so when a cell is double clicked a saved html page will load from a database.

Aug 7, 2009What im trying to do is, when I click on any row on my datagrid(dgvCompositions), all the cells(16 columns excluding ID column) in that row must be loaded into the 16 textboxes I have (txtB1, txtB2, txtB3....)
So when I click the row, and the entire row is highlighted the text from the cells get loaded into the textboxes.
I know how to pull data or text from specific cells clicked

Jun 12, 2011I have a program that gets some information from the user and updates the database.I also have two DataGridView, OpenOrders and ItemsInOrder When the user click on a cell in the OpenOrders a CellChange event is triggered and it updates the ItemsInOrder grid view. Now after I update the quantity of a product i want to cause that CellChange event to trigger again in order to refresh the ItemsInOrder grid view.

Datagrid New Row Cell Validation - Validate Empty Text And Indicate Error On Cell?
Jun 1, 2010The problem is that if you never enter anything into a cell for a new row then that cell is never validated. This is a problem because I have columns that should not be null. I am doing the check in the row level validation and storing the information about which cells are empty that should not be empty. The row level validation works fine and the row level validation error indicator goes on,(red exclamation mark at the beginning of the row) but I also need a visual indicator on the individual cells that are in error.
I am thinking that setting the HasError property for the cells that are in error should cause them to display n error style (the default red border). Is there a way to this this either from XAML (perferably) or from code?Alternatively I could cause those cells to re-validate when the row editing is finished. Does anyone know how to do this?

Part of the process of making this grid user friendly is to intercept the "enter" key and move to the next cell until there is a value in the cell. This is only for some cells, other cells can be blank. I have worked out how to intercept the "enter" key from another post on this forum. Here is the code:

Asp.net - Add Data To Gridview, From Textbox, On Button Click?
Dec 20, 2011I am working on an aspx site that lets an admin-level user fill out a form with potential member data. Once the form is filled out, the user will click submit and the data will go off to different tables. One part of the form that is stumping me involves filling out three textboxes (txtFirstName, txtLastName, txtGrade). I have a button (btnAddStudent), that, when clicked, should add the information from the textboxes to a table-like display area. I am trying to use a gridview, but there is nothing to bind it to. There is no memberID number to load a blank record from the Student table (which is a many-to-one relation to Member table). The member record is what this form is creating, and the student data will be added to the Student table when the Submit button is clicked.
I am currently working with the code found in the reply here. But when I click the "Add Student" button, I get a new blank row, but my textbox values are not inputted in the gridview.
Can this work, or do I need to look at using a table and adding rows of textboxes dynamically?

Dec 6, 2010First off, I'm using Visual Basic 2010. I've done pretty well with starting out with some basic things. Copying some codes from tutorials to learn what each code does. But lately I've been venturing into possibilities of ideas in my head, and the recent idea is very simple, but I'm not sure how to approach it.
I have a main form that has options to open up other forms. And in one of those other forms, I want to make it so that you can enter text into a textbox, then click a button to "save" the textbox's content so that anytime the program starts, that previously saved content of the textbox will be the same.
And on top of that, I want to relate the textbox back to the code in the main form.
If I didn't explain that well enough, I'm working on making an extremely basic web-browser (a big jump from what I've been doing), and I added the option under a menustrip to open up Form5 to change the home-page.
