How To Save Textbox To Sql Express

im creating a form, so people can insert "something" in a textbox, hit a button, stores it in a sql database - show's it on the datagridview and a listbox showing what you've entered.
i've started parts of it...but can not seem to insert the text from the textbox into the database...i got the datagridview to display the table from the database.

tell me a way that i can save the stuff written in 3 text box (Name,Address,Bday) by using a command btn. And then finding all of their information by just entering Name using another button.

(pardon me for re-using someone else's wording - but it seems this question comes up in each NEW version of the IDE) Does anyone know how to disable VB autosave? I like to open a working solution/project, mess around with it, and if I cant get it working, I like to exit without saving so that the original working version is left.
But silly VB 2010 autosaves changes, therefore stuffing up, a once working solution/project. I can understand autosaving whilst working though a large solution, but I prefer to click save once I have accomplished a routine, in the solution/project.

Ive been searching these fourms for days trying to find the answer to the save / load data problem. From what I understand, XML should be used to do this. But no matter how much I read I cant make sense out of how to solve this issue. I just need a simple and quick fix that dosen't have to use XML[code]...

at the Moment in my code I have the words("C:PrivateWords"). and that is where the Username & Password is Stored/kept, But is there a way to store the Username & Password into the Programe. ect... in a form that only the owner of the programe can see. And what would you use on that form ie: listbox, textBox multiline, TableLayout Panel, that if it is possible to create a Form.

I have 3 TextBox control, 2 is for keyin data and 1 is for Display data,

What I want is to display combine input data from TextBox1.Text and TextBox2.Text to TextBox3.Text I mean keep any previous data input in same TextBox and saperate it using a comma (,) or (;) for combination I am using (@)
Example: In TextBox1.Text I put 200 and TextBox2.Text 2000... Click button Save and I want it to be display in TextBox3.Text as 200@2000 and again I Enter 500 in TextBox1.Text and 5000 in TextBox2.Text Click save button and I want it be display in TextBox3.Text as 200@2000;500@5000 which is 200@2000 is the first input data... and it continue as many as it can.

We are testing the visual basic 2010 ee in one of the computing suites at a secondary high school. The installation was fine When we tried opening or saving a project it saves it into a default location i.e my documents. The problem withthis is pupils dont have access to c:. They their own drive on the network (h:) where they save their work. When i went and changed the settings in VB in tool > options.

I have a simple windows form application (I'm working in Visual Basic Express 2008).
There are some forms that have simple text boxes. When somebody wants to edit something in this boxes he pushes edit button and then they are enabled. I insert some text and when I save this text is saved for good.
When I reopen the application this text is there like I want it to be. Just for information, this text is always the same in one text box, until I change it (me or some other user) - so I think there is no need for databases. For my needs this is ok because I don't need to change this data often. This is code in Form load event (for calling back the data)

First off, I'm using Visual Basic 2010. I've done pretty well with starting out with some basic things. Copying some codes from tutorials to learn what each code does. But lately I've been venturing into possibilities of ideas in my head, and the recent idea is very simple, but I'm not sure how to approach it.
I have a main form that has options to open up other forms. And in one of those other forms, I want to make it so that you can enter text into a textbox, then click a button to "save" the textbox's content so that anytime the program starts, that previously saved content of the textbox will be the same.
And on top of that, I want to relate the textbox back to the code in the main form.
If I didn't explain that well enough, I'm working on making an extremely basic web-browser (a big jump from what I've been doing), and I added the option under a menustrip to open up Form5 to change the home-page.

I need to have two pieces of software, made in vb where one encrypts the contents of a .txt file, and the other decrypts it, and then picks one word at random and displays it each time a button is pressed, but never displays the same word. Or, if there was a way to hard code it into the program as there is only 5 words that would be better.

In My settings Have I got to List each textBox. Like TextBox1, TextBox2, TextBox3. ect..
IE: My.setting. textBox1 = TextBox1.text (In settings TextBox1: have it as string: User)
IE: My.setting. textBox2 = TextBox2.text (In settings TextBox2: have it as string: User)
Or can I have just one TextBox In my settings, that save's all the TextBox's 1 to 8 on my form

I am making a Help-form for my application. A Help-form normally has a ListView on the left and a RichTextbox on the right. When you click on a Help topic in the ListView, the text in the RichTextbox is supposed to change accordingly. The text file is part of the application's resources.

How do I upload the client's image file and display it in the web form's image control?How do I save it to the sqlserver? The image table is already set up with a "Image" data type column. Can the image be saved to the database as simply as other data types?

Whenever I modify a file in the IDE in Visual Basic Express 2008, and then press the "Save" or "Save All" button, the "Save As" dialog opens, then says that a file of that name already exists and requests confirmation of the save. This didn't happen in Express 2005 as far as I remember.

I need to write a program in VB 2008 express that takes an user entry from a textbox and strips out all the spaces, changes it to either all upper case or all lower case then checks to see if it is a palindrome. I must also include a loop structure and a decision structure. I have seen bits and pieces of code but I do not really know how to put them together. I am attempting to write a playlist for my media player which is already built. I have found a way to build a playlist for it but it would be helpful if I could save the contents of TextBox1 to a text file without using the save as. I am trying to get over a user inputting a file name for the finished text file so is it possible to write the file c: est.txt without using the save as dialog? I have found that I can use a vbs program file which creates a playlist in a folder. I save the vbs file text to the textbox then save it as a vbs file in the playlist directory, then execute the finished file to make the playlist.
