I have wrote a SQL statement to insert the RichTextBox(RTB)'s text into the Access DB but got error saying syntac error. I cannot figure out what went wrong.
When inserting data for RichTextBox, i use the TEXT property- rtb.Text . usign rtb.RTF also got error. The data type in Access is :Memo ( to store larger size text ).
INSERT INTO company (compName, compDesc ) VALUES ('" TxtName.Text "' ,'" rtb1.Text "' )
Is anything wrong with this SQL for RichTextBox?
When i remove the rtb1.TExt and just insert data for the 'compName', no error found on syntax.
How can I insert a text in RichTextBox at current cursor position. The AppendText method adds to the end of the existing text. Any similar method that inserts text at the current cursor position?
I have a richtextbox in a form that opens a text file line by line.
Each line contains texts that is to be imported elsewhere and is delimited by commas.
The first two fields are dates and are fine. The remaining fields are all text and need quotations inserting.
For each line of the richtextbox is count the commas as it works through the string. For the first two nothing needs to happen. for the third comma a quotation mark is needed to the left (",); for count of commas 4 to 7 a mark is needed either side[code]...

I have this richtextbox and displayed various text from .xml database. I need to format the text. For example when ever my vb code find string like 'the' in an .xml line it should display in italic as well as in blue color and so on for some other specific text.

I need to display my text which were read from .xml database as color, italic, bold, etc. in richtextbox, how do i make a code to do that,The reading and displaying is fine, but when certain word like again is read it should display in italic, and whenever a word like over is read it should be display in bold or underline etc.I use vb.net 2003 and .xml for the database.
I built a game that has three forms (the game, player info, and scoreboard). When you die the Player form shows and has a text box for the user to into their name and then they click submit. After they click submit the Scoreboard form shows and their name and score is showed in disabled text boxes. Also in the Scoreboard form are two List boxes (one for their name, and one for their score). The list boxes are connected to the database through a databinding by dragging them over from DataSources into the form.
I would like for the information in the Name text box and Score text box to automatically be inserted into the database when the Scoreboard form is loaded.How do you insert text from a textbox into a database?the Name is the first column in the database and the Score is the second column in the database.

I have a TrueType font in my PC. And there are some unicode characters in it which I want to insert it into my RichtTextBox. The CharMap in WindowsXP shows the unicode character as U+00CC and to the right, it also displays the KeyStroke as Alt+0204So, how do I insert this unicode character in RichTextBox ? Also, if I'm going to distribute this small program along with this particular font, will this end system can easily display the unicode characters ? when i click the button, i get a error message saying "Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement". as far as i can tell, i have everything i need to insert a new row into the database, and i dont see why this problem is occuring.
item(0) is an autonumber key field, so that should make a new record by itself, and i have declared the input textboxes as the data() array
My application appends incoming report data onto a RichTextbox control. As more text arrives from an external device, the thumb initially fills the trough and as times goes on, the thumb diminishes in size.
