I want to limit and verify the textboxes data which enter by the user i want to make a class in which i pass the textfield and the methods in that class return boolean value . First method check only numbers with decimal point. second method check only A to Z or a to z with some specify charecters. In java it is very easy by the parse INt methods or use class.

View 4 RepliesDo multiline textboxes have a character limit?Someone who was using my program said that he has some textfiles that are about 50 KB and when he goes to copy/paste that data into a multiline textbox, he only gets about 31.9KB of the data.My MaxLength property says 32767, which basically matches the 31.9 KB, however, most of what I read on the internet says Multiline Textboxes can hold unlimited characters and that MaxLength is actually ignored when a textbox is in multiline mode.

I am looking for tips or code samples to check if the user running the addin has select/insert/update/delete permissions. this would work on SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008. View 4 RepliesI have several text boxes which a user is supposed to input a numeric value and the program will use an array to verify whether the input in each text box falls within the numeric range allowed for that text box. So one text box will only accept number 3-7 and i'm supposed to create an array that will verify the input in that text box falls within that range. Personally, I would just do:

I'm trying to write vb code to verify a password input by a user to known table passwords in access database. The form has a drop down combo box that has userID's that are selectable. I'm trying to get the index number out of the combo box selection and use that to look up what the password should be. With that information i can then compare the stored password with the password typed into the text box below the combo box. All of the examples i've found that direct me show the code in regular Visual Basic. I'm using Visual Basic 2010 with the .net architecture.
