I am getting following error whenever I want to use IIf function inside entity framework query.

I get an error while trying to install a third party Excel add-in [Thomson One Analytics]. Error: "Compile error in hidden module: Main" Microsoft Excel 2003..But when I had the Addin unlocked.I noticed that it was getting stuck at a specific line in the MAIN module of the Addin package and the debugger throws a compile error message saying that: "Object library Invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found". Earlier when I had this issue,I made another user login to the PC and we were able to use the add-in successfully. But this time even a different user with Admin Rights was not able to use it. [code]

Exception/error when running a VB.NET console application. The method is part of an external assembly and it is definitely in the assembly. The error only occurs at runtime when I go to enter the function that calls the method. I have the assembly referenced by my project and I am not copying it locally. Intellisense shows no errors, and neither does the compiler. I am loading the assembly statically not dynamically. I reference the from a local folder (not the GAC) although the same version is also available from the GAC.
I am getting an error when I try and run my service. I made sure everything in the project is VB .NET 2.0.This service used to work, but we have been making code updates... I did some research but I do not see anything relevant. Does this error mean that my function cause the issue? Or is it the List that is the issue?

View 6 RepliesI found a custom ListBox that, strangely doesn't have an InsertAt method and I would like to add one. The custom ListBox uses an object instead of just a list of strings like a normal ListBox. I was curious what the logic behind inserting a new item at a particular index would be.The only thing I could come up with was add the new ListBoxItem at the end, then using the specified index, I could either keep moving ListBoxItem objects to the bottom, with the Add() method, from that index till the ListBoxItem at that index equals the one added, or I could use that index number in a "calculation" till I know I've moved the correct number of objects.

(using vb.net) On our intranet site we have an app that loads customer or vendor information and then allows the users to edit info and add/update/delete contacts. I'm not sure what really changed to this program lately, but I keep getting this error:
Method not found: 'Int16 DBLayer.DBTools.ExecuteNonQuery(System.String, DB)'.
This occurs when i try editing any customer info and the vendor contacts, but the program works when I try editing the vendor info/addy. Here's the program code. There's a seperate program on our webserver that contains the classes used. Here's the main code that calls the classes:

View 2 RepliesMy HP 6730b laptop is running on XP Pro sp3 and is a downgrade from Vista. When I use LonMaker control development software with a Phoenix Controls application called LVCDiagnostic, I will get the error listed above. This error does not exist in the Microsoft knowledge base.
Phoenix Controls tech support said that about one out of 25 laptops that show up with trainees at the factory have this problem. They suggested a reload of the os then a reload of LonMaker followed by a reload of their application package. The cd that came with my laptop for reloading the OS will not work - it can't find a file and aborts the operation. I have found a service that can reload the OS and then I will continue with the other reloads.
What does this mean? This just started I never had this error.

However, an exception is thrown at the Expression.Call statement. I can't quite figure out the right arguments to supply. As it is now, I am getting this error when I run the code:

I'm using LinqToSql classes in an ASP.NET website and let's say I have an entity named Testimonials. Two pages utilize this type - the first being a list of all existing Testimonial records and the second being an add / editor with which to manage the records. I have pretty much identical methods for other data objects which have been and still are executing just fine. One immediate difference I can think of is that this table has been recently updated in the database, removed from the dbml designer and re-added to the dbml designer. None of the other tables have undergone this process for some time. [Code] Why is this exception occurring and how can I configure my project appropriately to correct the issue?
