Passlist Separator Program Will Not Let Read And Write Half Of A File To One File, Then The Other Half To Another File?
Nov 8, 2011What my program does is load a file (password list), then progressively reads each line of text in the file whilst writing each line to a new file. After X amount of lines have been written, it should start writing the lines of text to a new document until the initial password list has been split into X amount of password lists. The problem I have is that after hours of tweaking, all I can get it to do is write either blank ocuments, or write all of the lines to only one file. I really need it to be able to split into multiple files, preferably at runtime rather than loading a whole text document into the program in a textbox or array then writing it to new files.Below is the source:

When Button Is Presssed - Minimise To The System Tray, And Disapear From The Taskbar?
May 9, 2009Iv'e looked over several threads about this topic but theyre all for minimising not what i want.
1). I've got a button on a form and when its presssed i want the form to minimise to the system tray, and disapear from the taskbar, but only if that buttons pressed so if i simply minimise the form it it just goes to the taskbar as normal.
2). And while im threading, if i make a password protecting program and save the passwords via my.settings, they're saved in xml files i think? can the xml files just easily be opened and the passwords viewed without having to use the program to open them?
Moving Image Across Form And Reappear?
Dec 31, 2010I am trying to create some simple animation using GDI+ graphics. The scene takes place in outer space, I want to run comets across the form. My problem is getting the comets once they leave the form to reappear on the other side. I can do it horizontally, the code for that is below. I can't figure out how to get a comet to leave the bottom of the form and reappear at the top. Anyone have any advice or knowledge on this?

Moving Textbox To Right Off Form And Reappear On Left
Nov 27, 2011I'm trying to make it so that a textbox, label, or picturebox can move from the left side of the form to the right and off the form, then reappear again on the left side like a circular loop.. It kinda looks like how news channels like CNN or NBC have stocks sliding on the bottom of the screen. Or how at the NY Stock Exchange, theres stocks just rolling through those LED displays. I want to do that in my program but I don't know how. So far I got it to only go to the right, then when it reaches the end of the form, it reverse directions so it goes left and right to the end of the form.

Converting EST To CET, Half Way There?
Dec 4, 2009Welp, I got half way there, I can convert and add 6 hours to the text in the textbox for CET_Hours.Text. The trouble is, what about when the CET part of the program is supposed to say that it's the next day...?

Like I said up top, it was easy to figure out how to add an additional 6 to the text in the textbox for CET_Hr.Text, and even display if it's AM or PM, ... So okay, that's that, now when it goes over 12PM and goes into Am, meaning, when I'm adding 6 to the text, If I didn't correct it, it would say... Say for example if it were 11PM now, EST, and I added 6, it would read, CET_ Hr.Text = 16 right, ... So how do I tell the program or the text in the textbox, that it't the next day... or better yet, when we get to the end of this month, 12.31.2009, and it becomes 01.01.2010 in CET, how do I do that, because I'm just so freakin perplexed about that it's crazy... Should I just give up, and just have a clock that tells me that it's 6 more hours then the bottom text boxes...?

Jun 23, 2009I searched the forums and most of the topics involving this seem to be for Compact Framework. I need a transparent text label which shows an object directly beneath it. In this case, a rectangle. (Visual Studio 2010) I noticed that when I set the label background to transparent it shows the form bg instead of anything between the label and the form. How can I work around this without setting my form background to an image? If I were to make a custom control for it, how would that be achieved?

So, in this case Label27 is actually the 25th of Christmas.At first I have to decide which label. Which I can do. now I need to know how to input text into it. In essence I want to do:

Deleting First Half Of A Textfile?
Nov 15, 2011I have a textfile with timestamps and the amount of minutes my machine has run.
To keep the size of the file in check, I would like to delete the first half of the text file, once the textfile exceeds 1 MB... I have a check in place to determine the file size.
What is the best way to go about deleting the first half of my textfile log?
Do you recommend storing the second half in a temp file, and transfering it to the original log?
Is there a simple way to remove the first few lines of a textfile?

Obviously, cutting exactly 200 chars quite often cuts a word in half, e.g.: "The last five years have seen a radical increase in the volume and complexity of company legislation.
