I am writing a program that uses an array of structures to display a price in a label based on what item is selected in a list box(the data is stored in a text file). I am having trouble figuring out how to make the price corresponding with the item appear in the label. Currently, it just keeps showing the last price in the text file.

Regarding my college project. i'm working on a sales system . i have a form which consist of all the following information( item code , item name , item price , quantity of item ) which is display using a data grid . data input by user using text box and all this information will be stored in a database(sales database) i'm using ms access 2007. the grand total will be displayed in a text box . and amount paid will be input in a text box too , my major problem now is how to i create a reciept that will have all this information of the purcase. i have a reciept button . what the next step ? i dont have any idea how to get the reciept done.

How someone would select an item from a list box and click a button and have that item go into another listbox with it's price? I seem to be stuck on this part.

I am struggling to write the code for a calculation. The calculation I wish to do is to multiply the quantity of an item by the price. The problem is that the "form" i am creating uses a letter (i.e A, B, C etc) which corresponds to a set value. I do not know how to link the Letter to the corresponding value.
For Example, A= 25, B= 20, C=25
I want to calculate the total of 6 lots of A. I am also using a Combo Box to list the Letters.
I am currently using microsoft access 2007 and vb.net 2008. The problem senario is this: I have a database-table that contains two columns, items, and the price of each item. I tried to drag this table to the form as a checkbox tool, but only one checkbox1 was diplayed. The table consists of four rows. My requirement is when I drag the checkbox I want to see the all items in the first column, i.e. four checkboxes that hold the same name as in the table in the database, and when I check one or more items to be able to use, in somehow, the price(s) to make some kind of calculations.

It will then put the description, price, quantity, and total for that line (including tax) in a listbox. The tax is determined by what you put in a text box labeled tax:. When you press Submit Order, it should show a grand total in a text box called Grand Total. It should have a class that is called Items that has a function called GetTotalAmount() that figures out the total including tax. I have started it, but am having a tough time with how to get the subtotals into the text box, then also show the amount including the tax PLUS then do the grand total.

I am new to vb and I am having so much trouble with this. What I need to do is this: I have a form application for winter sports equipment rental.I have a listbox filled with the equipment for the user to choose from then I have a combobox for the user to select the duration they would like to rent it. I have a list box on the form which functions as a copy/paste. When you copy something, it is automatically added to the list box as a "clipboard helper". Here is the problem,however: if the text is more than 1 line, the list box does not show all the text.It ends up looking messy.So getting back to my question, is it possible to make the list box item height for an item depending on the amount of lines that item contains?This is a one line sentence in the list box and should take up one line.This is a multi line sentence in the list box and should take up two lines for item height.

But i need to display a error message when the user enters text instead of numbers for prices. I have to create a form that I enter the price of gas each month over a year. I enter the price in a text box and click the enter button to send the price to a list box immediatley and use an array. I have the following code but I don't think it's working with the array correctly as it will let me enter the information but doesn't stop letting me enter after the 12 prices. I've gotten everything down, but for certain places, depending on cash or credit, and gasoline amount, gives rewards, such as discounts, gift cards, etc. I'm trying to get the free item to appear in a label, but i'm having problems with it showing up the wrong gift.

i have done all that i can do, however, i wish to display in a label something similar to this "5/10 (5th record of a total of 10)" meaning the 5th record in the array out of a total of 10 records. i have already done the code to display the total amount of items in the array, that part was simple, but i can't get my head around trying to code something that will display the record that i am currently viewing in the text boxes.
i have a "view previous record" and a "view next record" button that will go through to the next or previous record, in doing so will change the "5/10" records to the next appropriate number, e.g. "5/10" goes to "4/10" if the previous button is pressed (in doing so, obviously the records that are shown in the text boxes will change to the next or previous record)[code]...

The Textbox.Text will be a new Item in ListBox when Button1.Click I want button2.click to pick a random item from the listbox and display it as the label. Think of it as a random raffle picker lol.
I have a list of names in a database and what i want is to get all of these names and display them in a label or a text box to the user on the website. I have tried to do this using a for loop but it is always overwriting the label each time. I have a list of 10 different names in the database and what it is doing is putting the first name in the label and then overwriting this with the second name and so on until it reaches the last name. I think i need to store each of the names from the database into an array or an arrayList and then make the label display all of the contents from the array or arrayList. The for loop i have used for this is:

I want to make a form that closes after 30 seconds. And I would like to see a label that counts down evrey second. The closing after 30 seconds ain't a problem, but how to let the label update evrey second?
