I am new the Visual Basic and just downloaded 2008, and I am wanting to make a program with a button that will run a .exe that is in the same location as the program/
I am trying to make a button maker program.I know I can make a rectangle (will be the main button) and a label (text on it )but how do I save it to png ?
what i want is it to be installed in there but i dont what the user to have a choice i just what it to be installed there is that possible so when they click download it will download the file to that location
Is there a simple way to make a save button in a program that saves it. MY program has text in it, pictures in it, and both can be remotely changed and there drag able.
In my program, if something goes wrong an ErrorForm is supposed to show up and tell what was going wrong.
And if the error is a "fatal type", then I want the program just display the ErrorForm (which gives some information about the error), wait for a button press, and then close the program (terminate run).
In case of error, the form is displayed.. That's good.
But as the program is supposed to terminate after showing the error form, the error form disappears immediately after showing up (so it doesn't allow the user any time to read what's going wrong).
How can I make the program wait until a button press (on the error form) and then terminate?

I have a couple quick questions with the program that I am doing. This program is a hilo program and here are my remaining issues...
1. When I click the high or low button in my program it does not make changes to my token (I want the default tokens to be 100 and added 100 to the text property of my textbox so want to make sure I did that right)
2. In my program it only shows 13 possibilities but want to have the ability to add more
3. I also would like to change 1 to ace, 11 to jack, 12 to queen, and 13 to king and would like to get some assistance with that as well
I'm trying to make a program to send a command through a textbox when a button is clicked, THEN grab the output and put it into another texbox. If you could help i would be great full. This is what I have so far....

I am trying to make an application with a start button and a stop button on a stop watch program. These are the codes I am using but my seconds on the stop watch don't start.
Public Form Dim intSecond As Integer = 0 Form 1 Private Dim intSecond As Integer = 0 intSecond +=1

I want to make a program that will (by timeing) click continuously until I press the stop button or a key like f12. The only problem is I have no idea and got only how to click from other posts of same concept. This is what I have.[code]Now I want a timer to help it click every 1 2 or 3 seconds, whatever it may be in the text box.
opening a program and type something in their textbox or click on button of program if you can tell me refrence or .net platform class that can i access to another filed program
Dim IncomingCommand As String = e.CommandLine.Item(0).ToString
If IncomingCommand.Substring(0, 2) = "-1" Then
form1.close()
End If
End If
I am trying to make the program close if the -1 string is sent with the program. See my installer allows for me to run certain programs before it actually installs, but it doesn't shut down copies of the program itself. So I have a next startup instance set to shut the program down if the -1 is received. But if the program is not running it starts up instead. This is not desired. form1.close doesn't work. e.cancel = true doesn't work, etc etc. What can I do to make the program not start during this instance.

How could I move my VB.NET application to a folder using VB.NET in the same file? Essentially, I want to be able to move my VB.NET application to the Start folder when it is executed (within the same application). Also, I want to be able to move it to the same folder on any computer, for there is no set path to the Start folder on different computers. Or I would like to just create a shortcut for my application in the start folder?
How can I make a program so you click a button and select a File using a OpenFileDialog and click send on your computer and it will send the file to a different computer and then a SaveFileDialog will show asking where to save the file on the other computer. Oh ya I cant use WinSock or whatever becuase im using Windows Vista 64 Bit. I need it because I for some reason cant use printer sharing. It might be because im on A 64bit Vista Machine and I want to print a file off of a 32bit XP Home Machine.
I'm a beginner. I recently developed an application in C#. Now I wanna develop its setup. I read a few articles online, followed them, found it very easy. I also changed the default location of application folder from C:Program Files to C:. My application folder is containing a few folders besides exe and dlls which I added manually.
Now here the problem starts, when I install the application and change the location say from c: to d:, my files (all files including exe and dll) are going to user's given location. But my folders (all folders in application folder) are going to c: (which is default location given while creating setup). But I want output files and that folders at same location
