I dynamically create buttons on a form and use the button text as ids so that I can pass that to an SQL query to pull saved data about that button when necessary, but I also use an image over buttons that have information saved about them. What I need to know is how do I keep the text on the button from appearing when there is an image assigned to that button? By default vb.net shows both the text and the image and no TextImageRelation values allow for the image to take precedence. I tried changing the text color to transparent, but the outline of the text is still visible through the image. Is there anyway to keep the text value as it is but just show the image on the button?

A Text box should then display Total Rental Price, and if a member number was entered, a 10% discount is given (the total of the discount shows up in another text box) and after there discount is applied the Amount Due is displayed in yet another Text Box.

I am trying to write a program that will compare two strings in different text boxes. Then it must add 1 to a third text box for every time a letter appears in both text boxes. So for example if textbox1 said ABCDF and textbox 2 said ABTR it should return the number 2 because A and B appear in both.

I don't have an example code, but recently figured out how to make a single sub handle the keydown event for multiple text boxes.What I would like to know is if it is simple enough to have the object name that is sending the event instead of "microsoft..text: 54654" (sender.ToString in a debug window) type of return. I know how to deal with arrays and stuff like that, and I am just barely able to open/write to files (I don't quite have it down, but almost). However, when it comes to drawing graphics. I understand that it makes a non-public sub called Form1_Paint, but I'm not quite sure about the arguments passed and what "Handles Me.Paint" really means. I'm not sure how to make this (if I can make it) into a function that I can call anywhere (in the button1.click code, for example) to make it display a pixel.

What I would like to be able to do is after the customers information is given over the phone, I need to be able to send that information to a database which will probably most likely be done by button click. In this case, I'm using Microsoft Access. I'm also hoping that I can do this within Visual Basic coding.
The database is set out with multiple tables which include a customer table and a ticket table and both have multiple fields such as first name, surname in the customers table. Both of these tables are in use with the information that the customer gives over the phone.
