how to make the datagridview fit to the size of the table itself. I have it working properly, however when the table is returned there is a ton of blank space between the bottom of the last row of the table and the datagrid. Anyone know what property this is to change this?

View 11 Repliesif there is a way to make a html table from a datagridview? what im trying to do is enter details ( the rota at work) into my application and then export as html table and upload it to my site for all my staff to read so they have no excuse that they didnt know what time they had to be at work..... now i have tryed the "libs" i have found online but they give you no room to edit the sounding html page and just exports the datagridview into a html page

I tried using a timer and just say txtbox1.width = me.size.width - 100 or whatever space for the buttons and handling it for when it reaches negative numbers (with autosize off on the textbox) but its not at all smooth.

The table though changes size according to when the textboxes are visible or now. Ex. When the textboxes are visible the table grows, and vice versa.
get the DataGridView to keep the rows fit size to DataGridView although there is a few rows. I mean rows size will change like AutoSizeColumnMode Propeties' Fill.

View 3 RepliesI have just found that if a DataGridView image column's size (height & width - in pixels) is smaller than the image's original size (in my case all images are exactly 180 x 180 pixels) at the time the cell is populated then the image is automatically being converted to a lower resolution I assume to fit the image completely within the size of the cell). How can I stop the automatic scaling of the image?
The image below show the same file displayed twice, both at 60x60 pixels ('Thumbnail' column) and a blowup of the image (PictureBox populated via the CellMouseEnter event) to it's right. You'll notice the resolution of the first blowup is far less the the second. so, what made the difference in the resolution of the blowups is? In the second blowup's case I'd first stretched the image column's width to ~180 pixels and set the row height to match (via the ColumnWidthChanged event) then populated the DataGridView then stretched the image column to 60 pixels (its minimum).

The DataGridView fetches the data from a MySQL server but it does not fill the entire box in size.
Ideally I would like to manually set the table size to fit the box at least width-wise because the rest will fill up once the database is populated more.
I am trying to automate an access table make query through vb.net.It works fine the first time, but the second time it fails because the table already exists.Of course i can delete the table through code by it's name, but i want to let my .net-application find out wich table must be deleted. Or maybe there is a solution that doesn't fail with the error "table exists" without first deleting it.[code]

I have clearly done something at design time as one grid displays cells sized in 8.5 and the other in 9.5. I cannot find anything for Font in the DataGridView properties or in my code, but it would be a very useful feature to be able to control the Font size on my DataGridViews. How did I do it? I have no idea. Did I set something on the form itself? I remember changing the font size on a label and the next button I created took that size.

When Error in COM port is starting, i can fast find row in DataTable for that port and write information that Error accured for that port and DataGridview automatically updates:

I'm trying to get specific rows in a DataGridView to resize to the minimum height required to display my wrapped text. There's only field with multiple lines, and usually its in the vicinity of 1-2, but can get up to four.
