Making Code For Printing?

i was able to create my first db which i would like to use at our office. Its a counter transaction ticketing system. Finding my way through the different code, i was able to came up with these one.

But the thing is, even if i google the steps on how to print and even ask other friend how to do it, iam having a hard time making code for printing. Would it be to much if i ask you friends to give me an idea or a sample what code should i put for me to able to finish this project?

I am new to vbExpress. I am working in vb express with MsAccess as database. I have a form with ListView and some comboboxes,textboxes,buttons etc. Now I am at the stage of forming different reports from database and then printing them. Like I want to make a RECEIPT with CompanyName as header, date, time, Serial Number, ItemDescription, Quantity,Price, Amount,Mode of payment. Then I want to generate sales reports like daily sale, weekly sale, monthly sale. The things like that. Definitely I will use SQL statements to bring data from the tables according to the requirements of reports. My question is how I can make and display different reports from the databases and to print them in proper format.

I am tring to make this print a second page if it is needed. It is throwing an error on the line �lines = streamToPrint.ReadLine()�. The error message is �SystemNullReferenceException was unhandled:Object reference not set to an instance of an object� , which I can�t seem to resolve.

Im having trouble with making a code for a hotkey.Im making a small program for a game. The program will run in the background, when your playing the game in either window mode or fullscreen. Then when you press "1" etc. ingame, i want a short beep to come 20 seconds later. I also need to be able to start the tool and stop the tool so its only active when you want.

Well I recently found a code for making a file spliter, the code is simple (of course need some modification) and it work great.
The code is like this:

The only problem is understanding the logic of the code. How can it work? How can it know the next time of bytes to write is 200 to 400 if the split size is 200?

I am using a rich text box and I know a simple way to change the color of a selected word...but I can't make it do it for all the words.Do I need a custom control for this sort of thing...?Also, example: word "If" becomes blue, and all If's in the RTB would be blue.

I've got a basic VB.net 2.0 application together in VisualStudio 2005. Within a form, I've tied [enter] in several text boxes to a button. What I'd like to do is "press" the button from getField_KeyDown() to give the user a visual indication of what's happening.With the code below, the button click work is done but the button's look doesn't change and the user is left without feedback.

What's with the "public partial class Form1"? what does "partial" do? When i right-clicked on the InitializeComponent(), A portion of code appeared suddenly with the header #Region. What is this? and when re-open the Form1 in "View Code" mode, they're gone.

I'm developing a Windows Service, but for some reason, the changes I'm making to my code file aren't taking effect. I clean, build, and rebuild the solution as well as all the files that I'm changing, but nothing's happening.Is this a problem with the installation of the service, or something wrong with my IDE? i can always get the first word to translate but the other words jumble together and sometimes repeat themselves. I am using VB 2008 & Access Databases for creating WinForm Applications. Also i am using Crystal Reports for Report solution. my question is How do i created reports such a way that they can be printed in faster Ascii Format on any DotMatrix printer. The default true type fonts make printing very slower.
I tried to use "Draft 10 cpi" font which come to available me after i installed a correct driver for my Epson printer. which also helped me overcome this problem. however it wont be the scenario with all my clients i.e. they might have different printers having different Make with different drivers installed. i have tried to open such project on there PC but the printing wont come in Draft instead the fonts get expanded too much & the print wont come right.

Well, i was thinking of making a Tetravex solving program in order to practice my code writing skills (language will propably be Visual Basic) and I need help finding an algorithm for solving it. For those that don't know what tetravex is see this http:[url]... . The only algorithm I can come up with is the brute force way, place a tile randomly in one corner and try every possible tile next to it and continue the same process, if it reaches a dead end revert to a previous state and place a different tile.

I basically have an application that generates reports in a .html file, I use a .html file for the ease of making tables and formatting text.Now I would like to introduce a way of printing the reports from my program. Because I use a .html file, the formatting would not the correct if I was to print it directly from my application (as far as I know). For this reason, I would like to print it just like my web browser would have in order to keep the tabular data intact and the text formatting.

I'm creating an application which has an scheduler to print and it checks if there is a pending job on the print queue before it prints the next file. I use a timer which checks if there is any file to be printed on my database. Example, the timer ticks and selected 10 files to be printed, it should print the 10 files 1 at a time, if there's no print queue, that's the only time the next file should print. I think another timer is required which will keeps on checking if print queue is done. How will i do this?

I am setting up printing (to a printer or file) in my application, and it doesn't seem to print out any new lines that I specify. Here's some of my printing

When I print the output to a PDF file using PDFCreator, it stacks all of the letters onto each other rather than creating new lines at the places I've specified. I've also tried using vbNewLine instead of vbCrLf, but I haven't had any luck. I searched the web for this but couldn't find anything about it.
