I am trying to make a simple program that generates random musical notes, and for the most part, I'm done, but at the end, I'm left with an array full of notes that I'm not sure what to do with. I want to output the notes to a label, and the array length is variable. I really have no idea what to do. I am trying to display the array OutputNotes:

I have created several different colored 6 x 9 pixel rectangles (with a white border). I'm placing these rectangles on a large map, based on x y location and color code from a database. As I'm building the database, I occasionally run the program using the Debug in VB Express just to make sure everything is being place in the right location. I started getting an error when my rectangle count got up around 4500.

The release .exe works fine with no errors and a count of 6700 ... so far. As it is now it's taking near 60 seconds to place the 6700, and I'll eventually have 10,000 plus. (P4 3.20 GHz - 1 GB Ram). I'm placing each rectangle on the image as I read a row of data. Would it be beneficial to read the entire table into and array and then plot the rectangle?Would I be better off drawing each rectangle as needed or placing a my pre-drawn rectangle ?
I need to add an additional dimesion to outputArrayOfBits() in the code below which I hope conveys my intention. I need to convert a one dimensional array of 1 to n boolean (bit) values into arrays that group them by 8's so the output can be consumed by someone needing these values to be in hex format (0000 1111) = 0F How do I change the declaration of 'outputArrayOfBits and the nested control loop to achieve that?

If I have this input:

The output should look like this:

This program should only read this operators like (+,-,*,/).I'm have in mind 2 ways of doing it, one with regex and the other taking the first sentence, put it on an array, then trim it, and somehow get the values of the array and identify if it is a number or a decimal number and if it's an operator and then display it.
The difficult part or the part that i can't conceptualize is how to implement it with regex (it should be easier with a regex format than storing it on a array).I write a bit of code, I used an array to store and then to print the numbers and I used the split function to separate the math operator, but I dunno how to print the operators and the tags.

I'm creating an emulator for a device to simulate wave forms. My challenge is that when I try to convert the output of the following code, I can't convert the Math.Sin's double output into byte values that lend themselves to the byte array format required by an existing graphing control as listed at bottom below. I''m not sure how to handle this when the sin function creates negative values but the byte values will need to be positive and basically 'shifted up' so that anything over 127 is negative. (0 - 255) unsigned. BitConverter.GetBytes has been suggested but THIS is the result of that attempt.

What I am trying to do: There are three powershell scripts with different time delays as shown below.I am trying to run them asynchronously in .NET and I followed this article to implement Asyncrhonous programming. I need to disable every control on my Form so that the user can not click or press any key that will change values of listboxes and other controls on the form. I need to be able to lock the whole Form like this because as part of the project I have to print the form 3times with 3 different colors and the only way I've been able to get it to work is with a timer. So for about 3 seconds the form is changing colors and printing itself, so in between that time the user could accidantely click something and change a value on the form when all three prints should be of the same form, only difference is in the color.I can't use disable as that will make all the controls look faded and messed up, I need a clean way to prevent anything from being changed.

I am able to open the main .dll in VB2010, and can modify the forms, etc, and they will show the changes in the applications, but is there any way to change the current forms to the nicer looking forms in VB 2010? I guess I could just rebuild the entire .dll in the new version, but was hoping not to have to do that.

Is it possible with LINQ to SQL to search the entire database (obviously only the parts that are mapped in the .dbml file) for a string match? I'm trying to write a function that will take a string of "Search Term" and search all mapped entities and return a List(Of Object) that can contain a mixture of entities i.e. if I have a table "Foo" and table "Bar" and search for "wibble", if there is a row in "Foo" and one in "Bar" that contain "wibble" i would like to return a List(Of Object) that contains a "Foo" object and a "Bar" object.
