I'm new to visual basic 2010 ultimate. I want to make a search button to "search" ms access 2007 database for specific data and display the results in datagridview. I also want to display the data to textboxes.

I just installed a VB application developed using VS 2008. I installed the application on a Windows 7 machine. The application uses a MS Access 2007 database.When I run the application, an exception gets raised:The "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" provider is not registered on the local machine.But I don't seem to have this problem on a Windows 98 machine.

View 6 RepliesI started a forms solution in VB 2008, created a datasource to an access database (2010) and used the datagrid view to display the data. 3 fields in the access database are lookup fields with 2-8 values each, typed in by me, since the linking to other fields did not work. This is not working either. When I change the column to combo-box or not, those values, typed into access, are NOT showing up in the datagrid. the combo box has its drop down arrow but the value fields are empty.

I need to populate data (Patient ID and name) from a MS Access Database table (PetientInfo) into a listbox depending on date (Datetimepicker). The listbox item will change upon date changed.
When I select a item from listbox the details of the patient will show to the textboxes.

Basically, i've got a problem linking a data source (Access 2007 database) to a VB 2008 project.
I've broken it down to having a problem dragging a table onto my form, when it generates the nav bar, it says "0 of {0}", and the table is empty (despite the actual database containing values)
However, this happens only at home, at college it works totally fine. The only difference that's obvious is that i'm using Windows 7 at home, and Windows XP at college.
I am not able to add records in an Access 2007 database using VB 2010 Express Edition. I have read other posts and followed them but still I am not sucessful. I have the connection to the access database as MS Access Database, therefore it has the OLEDB connection (not the Jet 4.0). I am using the project instance in binding the text boxes to the fieldnames in the Access database. Did I miss something? I am also using Windows Vista Ultimate.

I have made DataGridView in the designers and connected an Access database to the datagridvies and the Column headers appear as they should and when I check in preview mode all the fields are correctly populated. However, the DataGrid is not populated in normal mode at all. I have been trying to run the project but nothing is happening. What can I do to populate the field.

I want to view ms access 2007 report whenever i clicked the button.
I already created ms access tables with the names of employees and other information that i need.
Im stuck on what i want to do right now. Just like i said, when i pressed the bottom i want ms access 2007 report will open instantly and if possible the print will ask like this picture.
I am trying to learn how I can enter data into a Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 TextBox on a form and when I Tab to the next TextBox, the data from the first TextBox is automatically appended to a Microsoft Access 2007 table. For this question, no other controls or objects are necessary.
