Code A Button To Get Data From Table In Database And Display In Datagrid View?

I'm trying to code a button which has a SELECT statement to get information from one table but I want the information displayed in a data grid view.From the data grid view, this data will be stored in a different table within the same database.Previously i had used a list box to display the information but i could not save it in the data base.[code]Is there any way you can display this on a data grid view like i did on the listbox?Im using a datagrid view textboxcolumn column.

how to retrieve image from access database?.. I've just finish retrieving data to the datagrid view. I want to retrieve also the image (also stored in the database as path inside the table where the data stored) in the picturebox. I am using a data grid view to display information from a database and I can't get it to update correctly.I can see the data from the database but when I change information and save it it changes the entire column's information. My rows need to have different values in the same column so this is a problem.Here is my code so far, what the program does is makes a list of transactions that are entered.

I am currently working on a Database that collects information. Firstly, i use a new windows form to collect that data. I have it set up to where, when the form loads, the database is ready to collect the information fields. And then the form closes on the button click to add that data, it does not update that data table view. It adds it once i close the program and debug it again.

What I am trying to do basically is open an access query in a datagrid view and then be able to make changes to the datagrid and then save it back to the database.When I try to save:

I read data from a xml file and display all the contents in datagrid view. I want to extract collection of columns with same or similar contents - i.e I have three columns A,B,C and five rows in xml file. In column C, row no. 1,3,5 is filled with 'X's and row no. 2,4 is filled with 'Y's. I am new to VB.net and attempting to write a small program as a learning exercise. I am writing a simple clock in/clock out time type of program where on Form 1 a button is clicked to clock in, then a button is pressed to clock out. When the clock in button is pressed the date and time captured and shown in a label 1. The clock out button places the date and time in a label 2. Label 3 shows the elapsed time between clocking in and out. I also have a label 4 which keeps on adding elapsed times (user may clock in and out several times) to show total time worked. All of this works fine.
I have made a dataset and datagrid on Form 2 to store all of the clock ins and clock outs. I have a history button on form 1 which takes the user to form 2 where the history can be viewed in the datagrid. I cannot figure out how to send data to the data grid from form 1. I thought the simplest way would be to place the value of label 1 in the first column of the datagrid, the value of label 2 in the 2nd column and the value of label 3 in the third column. Then when the process is repeated the values will be entered into row 2 of the datagrid and so on.

I am creating a notes software. This is just a simple application that will show the data from the database which are Notes_Title, Due_Date, Priority. I display the data with datagridview. I also added a checkbox for each row to the datagridview to mark as check if the Notes_title is already done. In displaying the data, I need to display only a 5 data in a row.So, I create a another CLASS that will only show 5 rows per page. But the PROBLEM is, if I mark the checkbox as check in the first page then if I turn it to the next page the checkbox in the first page that mark as check will be uncheck if I turn it back to the first page. The mark check in the checkbox will mark as uncheck if I turn the page. How can I make it mark as check even if I turn the pages? And How can I save the data row as done if I check

I'm working in VS 2008, vb.net. I have a data grid that is getting filled based on a store procedure. When I preview the datagrid, I will get 29 rows back. This includes rows that have NULL values in it. And that's what I need. But when I run the program, it will only return in the Datagrid 12 rows, the rows that don'r have any NULL values. Where or how can I change it so the DataGrid will show NULL values?

I have a datagridview control that will be used to allow the user to input records. The control uses a combobox column to select a type of service. There is a rate associated with the type of service that I then want to display in the grid. The user then enters a quantity and the last column mulitplies the rate and quantity to get a total. I have the combobox , quantity and total columns figured out but I don't know how to get the rate column to automatically be selected when the type of service is selected. in my first form i have a datagrid havng access 2003 as db. on my second form i have textboxes.
