I want to retrieve also the image (also stored in the database as path inside the table where the data stored) in the picturebox. In my case, I'm trying to query a name from my database. This is how it should work, For example, if you type an initial string in the textbox or combo box a named 'Mark', it should display all the names from the database containing 'Mark' into the drop-down list before it changes into its final string that you entered.

I want to extract collection of columns with same or similar contents - i.e I have three columns A,B,C and five rows in xml file. I am developing a Windows application in Visual Studio 2005, V2.0 using VB.NET. I am coding part of an Emergency Response Information System. On my form, I have two combo boxes (cboBaseStationID and cboPriority). I am trying to populate the datagrid with records from my database based on what is selected in both comboboxes.
For the first combobox, the user selects a name so the datagrid must only show records with that name. For the second combobox, this is a little more complicated. There are four emergency priorities in the combobox that the user can choose - 1, 2, 3, 4. View 2 RepliesI am new to VB.net and attempting to write a small program as a learning exercise. I am writing a simple clock in/clock out time type of program where on Form 1 a button is clicked to clock in, then a button is pressed to clock out. When the clock in button is pressed the date and time captured and shown in a label 1. The clock out button places the date and time in a label 2. Label 3 shows the elapsed time between clocking in and out. I also have a label 4 which keeps on adding elapsed times (user may clock in and out several times) to show total time worked. All of this works fine.
I have made a dataset and datagrid on Form 2 to store all of the clock ins and clock outs. I have a history button on form 1 which takes the user to form 2 where the history can be viewed in the datagrid. I cannot figure out how to send data to the data grid from form 1. I thought the simplest way would be to place the value of label 1 in the first column of the datagrid, the value of label 2 in the 2nd column and the value of label 3 in the third column. Then when the process is repeated the values will be entered into row 2 of the datagrid and so on.

View 2 RepliesI have this program im making it is supposed to be a basketball game monitor. The user enters two teams and the 12 players on each team then it has you pick the 5 active players and takes you to the run form where you can start the game once started you can add things like fouls and baskets made and attempted if a player gets 5 fouls or you hit stop clock you change which players are active and its supposed to update the database through the dataset and dataadapter but it doesnt seem to update the database with the info put in the datagrid view.

Update: When you hit resume game after change of players is when it puts zero on everyone again.
