I never printed in VB.Net code so I dont know how to do it at all. My task is to be able to print Invoices from my application. The Invoices need to be printed with a given Logo image (From file) and with text that I can set from my application.

Because I use a .html file, the formatting would not the correct if I was to print it directly from my application (as far as I know). For this reason, I would like to print it just like my web browser would have in order to keep the tabular data intact and the text formatting.
View 1 RepliesI am trying to read a 16bit binary file (tif image) and pixel values of the image ranges from 1200 to 4500. I tried to use BinaryReader using ReadUInt16 but I get EndOfStreamException Unhandled error. ReadByte method works fine with an 8bit tif file. I do not know how to read a 16bit image file using binaryReader. Shouldn't I use ReadUInt16 since values of pixels range from 1200 to 4500?

I'm using the following code to print an image from a PictureBox. All works great except for scaling images down if they are bigger than the print page. Is there a method I'm missing to do this?

Edition.Now, my problem is this...Inside my program, i have a webbrowser that only loads local html files, so what i need to do is somehow have the option to show up on the menu of "PRINT BACKGROUND COLORS AND IMAGES".Is there a way to ENABLE this option for the webbrowser1.etc...() class?any example code would help greatly if theres another way to print <body background> images.is there anyway to get that option that appears in IE's pagesetup "Print background colors and images" checkbox to show up in the webbrowser1.showpagesetup()?

View 3 RepliesI would like to ask a question about sending a BMP logo to a printer for storage. As I used to send a txt file to the printer, I just read through the file and store the contents of the file in an string. After sending the string to the COM port connecting the printer with "ComPort.Write(msg)", the txt file can be successfully printed. When dealing with the printing image problem, I tried to read the image with a binary reader and store into a binary array. Then I write the binary array to the COM port connecting the printer, with "ComPort.Write(bitArray, 0, bitArray.Length)". I am still quite new for VB.

View 2 RepliesRight now I upload a temp image file, delete the original, and then rename the temp to the original. Is there any way to rename without deleting first? I am doing this in a loop for a webcam program and when I delete the image, it shows a broken image if it is being veiwed right then. I wish I could allow it to overwrite when calling the rename. FYI, I have to upload a temp image first because if I upload the original, it will show as a broken image or partial at timed when being viewed.

Also i am using Crystal Reports for Report solution. my question is How do i created reports such a way that they can be printed in faster Ascii Format on any DotMatrix printer. The default true type fonts make printing very slower.
I tried to use "Draft 10 cpi" font which come to available me after i installed a correct driver for my Epson printer. which also helped me overcome this problem. however it wont be the scenario with all my clients i.e. they might have different printers having different Make with different drivers installed. i have tried to open such project on there PC but the printing wont come in Draft instead the fonts get expanded too much & the print wont come right.
I want to create a sort of slide show program. I want to get a folder full of images (bmp and jpeg file types) and have this program display it really quickly and then refresh to show another randome image really quickly. Then I want it to look into another folder and grab an image file from there that will be the last image and stays up. What I want to know is how will i go about getting the program to get the random image and then how will I get it to refresh instantly?
