I need a regular expression that will pull 7 digit certificate numbers from a file. The numbers follow the word CERTIFICATE. There could be spaces between CERTIFICATE and the number and there could not be. Here is what I have so far, but it doesn't match if there are no spaces or just one space.
I'm using Visual Studio and table adapters using an Access DB as the backend. I need the minimum 4 digit value. I want to get next available 4 or 5 digit number. And this will change depending upon the users request. Currently I use a table adabpter query. But how would I write a query. I suppose I could do a long iterative loop through all values until I see a 4 digit. But I'm trying to think of something more efficient.
Function GetNextAvailableNumber(NumofDigits) as Long 'SQL Code Here ---- 'Query Number Table
I just finished this application where you enter a five-digit credit card number, with the fifth digit being the check digit. everything seems to work except, I can't seem to get it to determine that any number is "valid". Every 5-digit combination that I enter returns "The credit card number is not valid". Im using visual basic 2008 express
I went to load an app I was working on before my system died a few days back and I loaded up VB Express 2010 .Net, opened my project and saw this error ...
Error1Unable to find manifest signing certificate in the certificate store.HexHelperProject
If this is related to the Security Certificates stored by XP, then I'm in trouble as they are GONE. Must I start a new project and rebuild this whole app?
I am having an issue getting the below error. This error is in a small mail app using smtpClient. I had this working on this same computer but had to reformat and now I am getting the error. The error does not display anymore info then what is below and do not know where or how to fix it.error: Unable to find manifest signing certificate in the certificate store.
I'm looking for a way to take seven 2 digit numbers & combine them into one number to store in a database. The numbers represent hours for each day of the week & I only have one field to store them in. Then I need to be able to take the stored number & decode it back into the original seven numbers. Anyone have any clever ideas how I can do this?
i m getting problem inh my project, which in VB.NET.Actually i was developing a small software, to be familier with visual basic.NET, as i was coding with Visual Basic.everything was running very fine, day before i installed winXp again ( freash installeation). Then simply VS 2005,with out any error. Now i m able to open, my project, i can edit it, but if i try to build the executable, or compilation. it is giving strange error.below what error IDE is giving Code:
I'm supposed to write a program that validates an inputted ten digit ISBN number using the check-digit at the end to ensure that the sum is a multiple of eleven. Before calculating this and detecting if the entered number is indeed a valid ISBN, we're required to check the first nine digits and see if they are indeed integers. After this the tenth digit is checked to see if it is "X" (for ten) or 0-9.
With the code I've written it keeps returning false for whether or not the ISBN is valid, even with valid numbers. I feel like its something to do with the hyphens; have I misused the replace function?I'm a little lost on how to make my code work, but I'm fairly certain my logic is okay so far.
I'm making a project that randomly picks a number from an array, but if it picks a number less than 10 then the number is a single instead of a double.
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim N(2) As Integer N(0) = "0" & 1 N(1) = "0" & 2 N(2) = "0" & 3
I am trying to work with an access database. If this line pulls data from a dataset and puts it into a textbox: TextBox1.Text = Me.A_DataSet.a_Table.Rows(0).Item(0).ToString How would I pull the field name? For Example, in this database I have 3 fields:
I am currently working on a flatfile based database, meaning: all database records are saved in single files in a data folder of my main application. So far everything works fine except for one thing:
Each record gets currently saved as file under its item name. This sometimes causes problems because some item names contain special characters which can't be used as a file name. What I would like is the following: Whenever I 'add a record' to my database it should be saved in a file with a 4 to 6 digit number as file name - to keep things simple I just ignore the file extension for now.
For example, I add a new record with the ITEM NAME Flower "Blue River" #1 - I won't be able to create the file because of the special characters in there! I would like that the program creates automatically a file in a 4 or 6 digit format (I haven't decided yet how many digits because I am not sure how many data records I will need one day, so, 4 digits will be enougth for now!), starting at 1000, so, the file I am creating is called 1000 + whatever extension I will give it later.
In addition, I would like that it checks for missing numbers in between when creating a 'new database record', meaning: I have already the folloing file names: 1000, 1001, 1002 and one day I delete the second record, so, 1001 would be available for the next new file / data record which I add to my database.
So far I've experimented with the GUID but the filenames I get out of it are just not in an 'eye pleasing' format. Would there be a way to give this GUID a special format or is there any other good way to accomplish that?
I have a form that needs to pull a CSV file into a datagridview, which I have working OK with the code below. VB Private Sub FillDataGridviewWithCSV() Dim strDirectory = Path.GetDirectoryName(ofdCSV.FileName) Dim conString As String = String.Format(ProviderString, strDirectory) ' I extracted the provider string to a separate ' sub to make this post a little easier to read [Code] ..... I have tried many different variations on converting what is in the DataGrid (or what is feeding it) into somthing I can push into the BulkCopy but have not got it to work right.
how do i code this. my textbox length is 5 and i input only 2 numbers and i want it to save in textfile as 5 Digit ex. i input 2 number in textbox and should be save it as 00012 how can i code this?
I am working on a VB.Net project and trying to get it to pull data from a database. I have the data base located in my bin folder with in the project but I do not know the exact path how to do it. The code that I am using is noted below
Private Sub btnTotalTravelCost_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnTotalTravelCost.Click 'strsql is a sql statement that selects all the fields from the 'ApprovedTravelRequest table Dim strSql As String = "SELECT * FROM ApprovedTravelRequests " 'strPath provides the database type and path of the Travel database. [Code] .....
I want to pull the data from the Bin File. I know the current location shown is incorrect.
I have been searching and searching and cannot find out how to do what I'm looking to do, that is the only reason I would post a new thread.[code]...
After reading the file, I want to load the NameId, the ColourId and the Text into a multidimensional array. Anything I have found about loading into an array shows text being separated by small delimiters like commas, but this I cannot do because I need to use this format. What I am wanting to do is load all of the NameId's into a listbox and when a certain NameId is selected, it will bring up the Text in a TextBox and the Colour value in a ComboBox.
how can i pull it into an array and if the textbox = any of the lines then execute event something like this
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click If Me.textbox1.text = (textfile contents) then timer1.interval = 500
[code]....
im just not sure on how to initiate the calling of the text file into an array.or if i could call lines from a richtextbox and if textbox1.text = a line in the rtb then execute. I guess what ever would be simpler.
I am having trouble with this list box assignment. I am supposed to pull the information from a text file in the debug folder. The problem is the code looks perfect to me, but when I debug, the first line that starts with : lstSummary.items.add returns as being in the wrong format. The code is below.
Private Sub btnSummary_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnSummary.Click Dim strAccount As String
I need to pull a random word from a text file in my resource folder (visual Studio 2010) and then have a user enter a letter to see if it is in the word. Yes, Hangman game. There is more, but right now I need to pull from that text file for a start. I know what I have is not even close to right under "Get Word Button", but I'm kind of confused about the process.
Public Class hangMan Private Sub Form1_Load(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load Dim word As New Random End Sub
I have to use the word list supplied and cannot use "streamreader" so, I need to pull a random word from text file in my resource folder (Visual Studio 2010) so user can guess letters for hangman game). I don't know if the code under "get word" button is right or not as far as pulling from the file. I would like to get that far!
Im using visual basic 2010 and im building a program that will basically, you click on something in the list it will automatically open a .dat file pull the information that it needs, and then proceed to enter it into a box on the right. Well heres my issue i know how to do everything else but i cant seem to imitate this image, i need to know how i can make a list like this where the whole row is selectable, and the items/subitems are divided.
Anyway, I'm a teacher and am writing a program that simply shows kids a word on a flashcard. There are 2 buttons, 1 to read the word and 1 to go to a new work. There are going to be 300 words. Really I'm just testing it right here. What I want to know is should I be inputting all the words right into the code like I did with "hi" and "not 1" (Don't ask. those are just the 2 random words I picked to test this out with). OR is there a better way (maybe somehow to type all the words on a text file and have the program randomly pull one of them (I don't know how to do this).
Here is the code so far:
Public Class Form1 Dim word Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
We have somewhat bureaucratic way of making new users to our system. I noticed I had to write same info over and over again to different places (such as AD and our databases). So I desided to make a little application that inserts the info to all the right places with one click. Now I can create new user with one form and push of a button except the client certificate. For that I must login to our certserv and fill in a form.
Is there an easy way to make client sertificate request to the certserv so that it would give me the certificate automatically? I tried to google about it and got some info about the system.security.cryptography, but got stuck before getting any near of requesting new certificate.
I am trying to get OpenSSL.net to 1) create a key pair to use for CA signing and 2) create and sign certificates using this CA. I have managed to create an RSA/SHA1 X509CertificateAuthority, and have created a X509Request and keys, but I am running into problems actually signing the request.
'create the request and request key Dim rsa As OpenSSL.Crypto.RSA = New OpenSSL.Crypto.RSA() rsa.GenerateKeys(1024, 65569, Nothing, Nothing)
[code]....
I am getting an OpenSslException on the line noted above, with the message error:0606B06E:digital envelope routines:EVP_SignFinal:wrong public key type error:0D0C3006:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_item_sign:EVP lib
I'm searching for a way to validate (or bypass validation for) self-signed SSL certificates using VB .Net. I found code to do this in C# and tried converting it into VB code, but I'm not having any luck.
Here is the C# code. Here is what I tried:
Imports System Imports System.Net Imports System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates
I mean, My project is library based. So one very important dll should be under my control. I have to create a certificate for this dll. this certificate will be date wise. with expiry date. to run that project, the user must run the certificate.
