Put An Amount In Program Part Of Check Box And Add Them Up

Im trying to make a fast food program on which the user will input the amount that he has, then he will click on what he wants, by using check boxes. There are 7 different check boxes with 7 different amounts of money. I got an idea on what to do (they will check on what they want and the program will add up the total and there is only one of each item), but im confused on how to put the amount on where the check boxes (in the program area and not the text area) and add them together. After that all I need to do is add everything up, with sales tax, and tell the user if he has enough money or not. But what im confused on is how do I get the check boxes to a amount of money and add them up (all the ones hes checked) I just dont know how to code this part of the program, once I get one done all I have to do is the same for each one, and everything showed be easy after that. But how do I put an amount on a check box and add them all up?
I wrote this do while loop it is supposed to search through an array until it finds an account number that matches. but I have a problem I cant check the very first part the array when its subscript is 0 because of where i put increment x but if i move it to the end it won't work how can i fix this?

Let's say I have a PictureBox with an image of a house, for example, and I want to know if the user clicked on the roof, the door, the window, or the walls.
Is there some way to, maybe, set up an If statement so that it checks what the coordinates of the mouse click was and compares it to a set of pre-determined graphed points to decide what object was clicked?[code]....

i have a datagridview binded with the datatable via its datasource property....now i want to add the Amount column of the dgv and display the total amount in the textbox,if the amount is greater than a certain value then i want the cell to coloured red so i did this code and it worked great:

I don't want the code already written out, I need somebody to walk me through making a code. Also, this is my first class dealing with computer programming so all we've learned so far is declaring variables and how to label objects, the simple stuff. I'm at a loss at how to start because a quarter is worth 25 but the program is supposed to show how many quarters once a user enters the amount in cents.
How do I make my program create new threads from a set amount? For example if someone typed "60" in a textbox and they pressed "Start", it would create 60 threads that would do the same function.

so if i say want to cruise 29 miles at 12 knts it gives me an awnser of 2 hours 24.6 mins instead of 2 hours 25. Although i do realise that 2 hrs 24.6 is technicaly right i was wondering if anyone here could help me with getting it into the correct format?

I have the program somewhat finished (thanks for the people that helped me before) but theres still a couple of things that I still need to get finished but I dont know how to.I need to be able to get how much money the user has (this will be entered threw a text box, I think I accidentally messed this part up, because I cant get it to work right, (theres alreasy a permit amount of money in there and it needs to be what the user enters instead of the permit, 5.59, one) and this will be the maximum amount he can spend, then the user will check on the food he wants (and the program will add the sales tax also) then it will produce an answer saying if you have enough money or if you dont. But what im confused on is how do I get the users amount of money and make it the maximum mount he can spend and make sure it doesnt go over the amount that he has checked.[code]

I have to create a program that ask the user to enter the amount of hours work for 5 diferent projects in textboxes. The user have to enter the time he worked in minutes. Ex: 153, 280, 600, 130, 20... The total then is out putted into a textbox in this format "13 Hours and 35 Minutes" I'm having dificulties making the conversion and the separation from hours and minutes. I understand that the total is divided by 60, but if we fallow the above numbers the total hours comes out to 1183 / 60 = 19.71. Im trying to create a program that takes an amount entered by the user and then convert it into Half Dollars, quarters, dimes, nickles, and pennies when the calculate button is clicked. Each coin has its own function and is shown in separate text boxes... right now i cant get it to work correctly. When i try to get half dollars to work it rounds up and then the rest of the coins say 0. How should i do this?
I am trying to build a program that calculates the minutes worked times pay rate equals amount of weekly pay this is what I got but it doesn't calculate
I am working on a program where the user inputs values, then the program calculates those values and outputs the sum. When the user hits the button exit then those values entered by the user are saved. When the user starts the program again, the values are still there. I wrote the code and everything works fine. I am saving those values in notepad... and the program grabs the input in notepad and outputs those values to the program. But here comes the problem:
Lets say the user wants the information in a certain column to be added to another column somewhere in the program. Is that possible ? And if it is can it be done when I am saving those values in notepad ?

Have a program that collects response data as part of a psychology experiment and i want the output text files to show up on the users desktop so that they can find them easily and e-mail them to me. I'm using Parallels on my Mac to run windows XP and found the files in a desktop folder but they were not on the desktop. Am I coding this right?
im making an application in vb.net (duh!) anyway i have created and coded the whole project and it performs exactly as i want it to (i dont need code help). my problem lies with the fact that my project is 2-3 parts
1.a setup form that gathers inital data about the enviroment stores this data encrypted in a config file. after inital setup this form is not displayed again. but needs to be run on both computers
2. the second form is the real application form im in the process of turning this part in to a background service anyway this form is the one that establishes the connection between two nodes it works correctly
3. the config files
anyway here is my problem i want to make this application distributional with just one file the (.exe) and have this .exe make everything else happen. it runs the setup form and creates the first config file which it does then it needs to produce a copy of just the second form and the config file to transfer to workstation #2 that will run independtly without the whole application which i cant make happen then it needs to turn both workstations application on by only starting one on either computer and invoke the other computer to start its corrosponding app also no idea how to make this happen any ideas or suggestions as to where to look to try to find my answers.im thinking i might need to make two seperate applications (a setup app, and the running app) and include them both in a project and use the setup.exe to to package them together this is a little side project that im making for my self to use to make programming a little easier so i plan on giving it out to some fellow students to test and tell me what they think so im not really worried about ease of use or complicated procedures yet but if it turns out to work and actually be of use to anyone else i would be willing to rewrite it to distribute to the masses but for now i just want it to work for me.

I'm trying to get the value part from the source and have it printed out to a TextBox on my program. I'm not sure how to do this but I tried. I made a new HtmlElement called email. Then I did email = WebBrowser1.Document.All.Item("email") However, when I try to add it to my textbox it doesn't work.

my requirement is that i have to count occurrence of a certain date and between two months suppose i have 10-jan-2012 now i have a date range 1-jan-2012 between 1-feb-2013 my requirement is that if i find 10-jan between 1-jan-2012 between 1-feb-2013 irrespective of year i know that 10-jan will come twice between 1-jan-2012 between 1-feb-2013 i am not understanding how to do this.i meanto say that i have to compare only day and month part of the date which will solve my problem
I plan on designing a Crystal Report, and then calling it through VB.NET code. Will the end-user need a Crystal license in order to use the crystal report part of the program?
