Jan 16, 2010Ok lets say i have 5 picturebox`s and 5 images, how can i randomly display the images in different pictureboxes each time i click a button ?

I made the Do Loop UI un-friendly and ran this from the IDE using CTRL-F5. My PC is 1.8Ghz and has 2GB of memory. I am using VB 2008, .Net 3.5 SP1.

Jun 28, 2010I have placed several PictureBox Images of different colored dots(which represent lights) on an image of a Christmas Tree. I can make the lights randomly flash using a randomGenerator and a Select case statement. However, the code is very long. There are 67 lights on this tree and the code is 71 pages long. There has to be an easier way to do this. So far I have tried the following with two images of lights just to see if it would work and it does not work:

How To Show Random Images In Three PictureBoxes
Aug 26, 2009I am writing a program that shows random images in three picture boxes. When I open the program the initial images are in the picture boxes. When I click stop, the program is supposed to select a random image out of five. in each picture box. However, when I click start the images go away and when I click stop, no images appear. There is also a message that is supposed to come up on the screen, which it does. I just can't get the images to show. I am using Visual Basic 2005.

The users has already entered their total amount of money, and are are able to wager for every round. We were supplied with 6 different picture files to represent the 6 sides of the dice. Feb 9, 2012I looked at "How do I place an image with a mouse-click in Javascript?" but it had a small snippet of Java; immensely larger than my knowledge of Java. And that is the closest I've come to finding an answer in the past week. Here's what I would like to do (don't know if its even possible):
I have a panel and a toolstrip with 3 buttons. Each button represents a different image. I want to click on a button (once) and then move into the panel and everytime I click the mouse button it drops the image where ever I clicked. This only ends when either I click back on the same button or one of the other buttons. I do not want to drag an image into the panel each time. In other words the button stays depressed and the event/action stays active.

MDIParent Button Click To Display MDIChild Form?
Jun 9, 2011I have developed a small application. It has a MDIParent form on which the other childforms are displayed. I have a Panel on the MDIParent on which there are buttons to call up the MDIChild forms. Now my issue is, when anyone of the buttons on the MDIParents form Panel are clicked, it should check if another Childform is display, if it is then it (the active childform is closed) and the new form will be displayed. This part is working fine from the code below. However, when there are no active MDIChild form on the MDIParent form and if the button is clicked, the 'Else' part of my code below is executed. This generates the error as 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object'. So what is wrong with my code below?
