I need to create a search form where a combobox populates with names then the user clicks a name and the textboxes in the form are filled with the correct data for example txt_Firstname txt_last txt__nameage would all be filled with the right data from access.
I already have the combobox sorted meaning i can successfully see First names in the combo box so now all i need is helping with clicking a name in the combo box and the dataset being populated in the text boxes heres the code used to populate the combo box:

These are all databound to a Access table All of the binding is done with the data wizard so there are the standard bindingsource, table adapters, binding navigators, etc.On the binding navigator bar there are the standard "+" and "X" buttons to add and delete records. There is also the SAVE button.In my application, I want the user to press the "+" button to add a new record. When that happens, I want a few fields on the form to be prepopulated. Once the fields are prepopulated, then the user can continue making changes as needed before pressing the SAVE button. The textboxes populate upon the selection of a pair of cascading combo boxes. So, the user first selects a system name from the first combobox, then that selection will populate the second combo box for the locations of that system. (This means that each system may have more than one location.) Once the location is selected, each of the 4 textbox should populate with the corresponding data but I'm not quite sure how to write the code..

I'm currently developing a application in VB.Net 2008. I'm using the DataGridView to display my data on the form and I have stored all the records in MS SQL. I have a EDIT button on the module and I need to know how can I populate a selected record into the textboxes from the DataGridView to be edited.

I have a Form with listview of customer name. e.g. AAA, BBB, CCC, DDD, EEE. etc And 3 textboxes.
I want to be able to populate the textboxes when the user selects a customer. For example: If User selects AAA, textbox1.text = AAA, then if User selects CCC, textbox2.text = CCC etc.
I tired: (in a button on click event)

TextBox2.Text = Listview1.SelectedItems(1).Text
TextBox3.Text = Listview1.SelectedItems(2).Text
But this only works if the user selects 'all' 3 customers at once. I want to allow the User to populate each textboxes depending on how many they select eg. 'Upto' 3 customers .

I have a letter like format on a page with labels displaying address, name etc and it was recommended that on this page some of the information should be able to be edited. The idea I had was to keep the labels displaying the information but then when the edit details button is clicked the labels disappear, text boxes will appear and be populated with the same text as the label to allow the user to edit the details.

Working on a project that contains a listView (populated from a database already) and several textboxes. What I am trying to do, and cannot figure out, is to program this so that when a user makes a selection in the listview, it hits a specific database, and based on certain values within that databse, the textboxes are populated with things such as name and address, etc..

What's happening right now is that I make a selection from cboLocations on frm1 and click on the OK button, frm2 loads, but none of the textboxes are populating and one of the comboboxes, cboDepot, shows the different data when you click on the down arrow, but it's not displaying anything it its text field when frm2 loads.

How can I read data from textbox1 to....n using cycles? Something like this:

The question is in line 2. Syntax "textbox_n.text" is not right. How is it possible to read from textboxes using cycle and variable n?

I'm currently making a program that will be used to practice German. It reads from textfiles that have English words (noted by # prefix) and German words (noted by $ prefix). An example of this:

The way it currently works is it loads a text file, finds all # and splits to an array called "English" and finds all $ and splits it to an array called "German" What I want it to now do is feed the "English" entries into textboxes on the left, and "German" onto textboxes on the right so I can then match them out and make a sort of memory game out of it. Unfortunately, I don't know how I would loop an array through multiple textboxes. Conveniently, the textboxes on the left have even numbers, and the ones on the right have odd. Is there a way to possibly find all evenly numbered textboxes and loop "English" array entries into them, and the same for "German"? I've realised this has now gotten a little convoluted, but hopefully somebody understands. I can screenshot the form for better explanation, and copy my existing source code if anybody wants it.
I'm trying to do a project which involves reading the text from a number of textboxes and putting it into a string.I'm just wondering if there's an easier way to it other than:

I have thought about creating a For Next loop which would go something like:

But this really doesn't work. I also found something saying that something similar to this would work:

I have a dictionary object (let's call it _do) I am using to cache some values for use in a multi-threaded program. I have a single controlling parent thread, with a timer function _doTimer() which can kick off child threads with a new instance of class MyThreadObject in each. My parent thread has _do as a property and with each time _doTimer() gets called, it may or may not repopulate _do depending on cacheflag settings. I pass a reference to _do to each instance of MyThreadObject and those threads at some point read the values of _do but DO NOT write to it.
What I want is to ensure that the child threads do not try and read _do whilst the parent thread is writing to it. Same thing but very slightly different -> I also don't want the parent thread to write to _do whilst the child threads are reading from it. However there is no problem with 1 child thread reading the values of _do at the same time as another child thread is reading the values - so ideally I do not want each child thread to completely lock out read access, only locking out Write access.. The code is roughly like this:

I have asked this question before but didn't get any help. I am going to try to rephrase it a bit.
I have 5 input boxes; let's call them chck1, chck2, chck3, chck4, and chck5.Each input box has an associated checkbox, let's call them chckbox1, chckbox2, chckbox3, chckbox4, chckbox5. These are in a section called '*Step 3****
THe spec is that if you enter a number into one of the input boxes and check the associated checkbox in Step 3, the number gets populated into the corresponding box in step 4.
For instance, if i check a checkbox called chckbox1 and enter a number into chck1 in step3, that number gets populated into chck_amt in step 4 as long as the checkbox next to the inputbox in step3 is checked.
If a number is entered in any of the boxes in step 3 but the associated checkbox is not checked, the number doesn't get populated into the corresponding box in step4.The issue that I have so far is that if I check a box FIRST before entering a number, the corresponding box in step4 gets populated.
If, however, I enter a number into a box in step3 BEFORE checking the associated checkbox, that number does NOT get populated into the corresponding box in step4.Does anyone know how to ensure that whether a number is entered first in step3 or a box is checked first, as long a box is checked, that number needs to get populated into the corresponding box in step4.
