I have a series of text files in multipule diffrent sub directories. I found the following functions on the Internet:

What I want it to do is to have it return an array of relitive file paths, from the starting direcotry I give the function. Then I will use a loop to cycle though each file in the array to make certain changes.

I'm having trouble reading in the file and populating the textboxes accordingly. After loading the file (I think that is) nothing is being populated in any of the textboxes listed below. Basically I'm not sure if the file is being read or not.

How can I read data from textbox1 to....n using cycles? Something like this:
1. For n=1 to 50
2. text=textbox_n.text
3. Output=output+text
4. Next
5. Msgbox(output)
The question is in line 2. Syntax "textbox_n.text" is not right. How is it possible to read from textboxes using cycle and variable n?
I'm currently making a program that will be used to practice German. It reads from textfiles that have English words (noted by # prefix) and German words (noted by $ prefix). An example of this:

#evening $abends
The way it currently works is it loads a text file, finds all # and splits to an array called "English" and finds all $ and splits it to an array called "German" What I want it to now do is feed the "English" entries into textboxes on the left, and "German" onto textboxes on the right so I can then match them out and make a sort of memory game out of it. Unfortunately, I don't know how I would loop an array through multiple textboxes. Conveniently, the textboxes on the left have even numbers, and the ones on the right have odd. Is there a way to possibly find all evenly numbered textboxes and loop "English" array entries into them, and the same for "German"? I've realised this has now gotten a little convoluted, but hopefully somebody understands. I can screenshot the form for better explanation, and copy my existing source code if anybody wants it.
I'm trying to do a project which involves reading the text from a number of textboxes and putting it into a string.I'm just wondering if there's an easier way to it other than:

I have thought about creating a For Next loop which would go something like:

But this really doesn't work. I also found something saying that something similar to this would work:

But that didn't work either.
i have several forms each with a specific pet. i want to be able to have the user press buy and then the price of the pet will be added to the reciept form. lets say dog1 is $400.
dbldog1 = 400
dblsubtotal = dblsubtotal + dbldog1
on reciept form i would have
lblsubtotal = dblsubtotal
but then it will not show as 400.
I don't know what triggered it, but one moment it was fine, other moment it just went like this.
Now if I click the body of a textbox, the window behind the application form gets selected..
What can be the reason?

I understand that the problem is on the top where I've placed Const mForm1Name As String = "c:est.txt", but when I'm taking it out gives back a mistake. Also my form doesn't close when I save.
I have a Multyline Text box with Vertical scroll bars. When the text box is empty or not full I have disabled and visible scroll bars. I would like to have them hidden but appear when the textbox gets full.
View 2 RepliesI am currently building a mortgage application and currently have two forms, the way the system works so far is the user selects an option from a series of radio buttons whilst a score is kept based on the options chosen, this is then displayed in a text box to the user, on the second form there are more choices, and a textbox to display the final score, what I can't figure out is how to get the value from form one to the textbox on form two when the user clicks next on form1 to get to form 2.

I have two forms in my project, Form1 and Form2. In Form1 there is one TextBox called Text1, and in the Form2 there is TextBox called Text2. I have one button in Form1, called Button1. When I click on Button1 I want that Form2 open and in Text2 is text from Text1.
