I have a process that I wrote in order to perform an NSLookup and output it to a messagebox. I have all that working, but I need to take it one step further. Some of the pc's this app will be installed on will not be joined to a domain. Can anyone provide any assistance with creating a way to check and see if the pc is joined to a domain and/or the domain is available, and then run the process if the pc is joined to a domain and then not run the process if it isnt. If anyone needs any more info just let me know. Here is the process that I wrote:

Ive googled and found only "GetElementById" which is not what im looking for. Also this is for logging in to a site through a vb .net form only.
I just want it to verify if the users (Username + Passowrd) is correct and telling me some how if its correct or not.
Ive got permission from the respected owner here how the link to connect looks like [URL]
Also i have to do this through "http get request" + "Winsocks" i think.

I want to write a regex to verify inputs. The inputs have the following format:
N. Crystal
O. J. Faucon
A. V. E. David
"^[A-Z. ]*+([a-zA-Z])*$" is not working. How can I match the above examples?

I need to extract the second level domain from a FQDN. For example, all of these need to return "[url]....
Here's what I have so far:
Dim host = Request.Headers("Host")
Dim pattern As String = "(?<hostname>(w+)).(?<domainname>(w+.w+))"
Dim theMatch = Regex.Match(host, pattern)
ViewData("Message") = "Domain is: " + theMatch.Groups("domainname").ToString
It fails for example.com:8080 and bar.foo.example.com:8080.

I have a textbox where a user is supposed to enter a date. How can I check whether the entered date is in the correct date format?
Like this: 02/02/2008
not like this 022/22/-1
not like this 2009/02/02
not like this 02/Jun/2015
not like this 02/abc/2010
(I don't want to use DateTimePicker or MonthCalender).
EDIT 1 I tried it like this
Private Sub txtHireDate_Validated(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles txtHireDate.Validated
Dim dateString As String = txtHireDate.Text
Dim formats As String = "MM/dd/yyyy"
[code]....
But its showing some errors?

I need your help to find the right pattern to extract a string that i need.. The problem is that i have to extract all there is between this caracters:<a href="/url?q=(text to extract whatever it is)& I tried this pattern, but it's not working for me! : /(?<=url\?q=).*?(?=&)/
i'm programming in Vb.net, this is the code, but i think that the problem is that the pattern is wrong:
Dim matches As MatchCollection
matches = regex.Matches(TextBox1.Text)
For Each Match As Match In matches
listbox1.items.add(Match.Value)
Next

I'm working in visual studio 2005 and developing a windows form that has a datagridview on it.
One of the cells is a Calendar Column type (custom made). I pulled the code for it off the internet - it basically allows the user to select the date from a small calendar.
When the date is changed, it gets the correct value and it also saves into the database with the correct value.
The problem is that it doesn't load onto the grid with the correct value. In fact, no matter what date I enter in, it always displays it as 1 day earlier. e.g. If I saved it to the database as 4/19/2012, it displays it as 4/18/2012.
I verified that there's no other column in the query that retrieves the data for the grid that contains the value it's displaying.

I have a function that works perfectly when I attempt to add a user from the same domain into a group of the same domain.
Function AddUserToGroup(ByVal strUserDN As String, ByVal strGroupDN As String, ByVal strGRPDC As String, ByVal strUserDC As String) As Boolean
Dim oUser As DirectoryEntry
[Code]....
The error is actually being thrown on the Invoke line, but as I said earlier, if the user is in the same domain, this works perfectly.
