I have an FTP connection with around 50 folders in it, I have one file that I need to upload to all of these folders, how can I get the list of these folders in there so I can go ahead and upload the file automatically? The folder # keeps increasing and I can't manually keep uploading the file to each folder.

I am currently working on a school project in VS2010. I have added a .exe file in the project folder and added it to the Project as a 'Existing Item'. In Project Properties -> Publish -> Application Files the .exe file is shown.
The .exe file runs quite nicely when I use the Process.Start("C:\NameOfMyApplicationFolder\MyProgram.exe") hard code path to the .exe file. However, I am faced with two(2) challenges that I need to overcome. These are they:
1. If published on another machine the .exe file will not run as the hard code path to the .exe file will be different from that on my machine. Therefore I need a way to create a generic path to the .exe file. I have tried these [Process.Start("C:\|DataDirectory|\MyProgram.exe")] AND [Process.Start("Localhost\|DataDirectory|\MyProgram.exe")]; I got an error message that "The system cannot find the file specified".
2. I am putting the Process.Start("xxxxx.\MyProgram.exe") on a button click event. I also want to put the running of the .exe file between two(2) lines of code. The first line of code is basically asking "Do you wish to run the executable file" - YesNo. If 'Yes' is selected the .exe file is run. Here is the problem: When the .exe program is closed the second line of code is to be executed. I have gotten the .exe to run (using the hard code file path) when 'Yes' is selected, and the second line of code to execute if 'No' is selected, but I have not been successful in getting the second line of code to execute after closing the .exe program. I have tried this: [If Process.Start("C:\NameOfMyApplicationFolder\MyProgram.exe").CloseMainWindow = True Then Do line 2 End if]. nothing happens when I close the .exe program.

I would like to know how can I make an executable file wich deletes itself and the folder it's inside.
I've tried launching cmd, making it wait for 3 seconds and then delete the directory, but it does nothing. The last lines of my code are:
Process.Start("cmd.exe", "/C ping 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 3000 > Nul && DEL /F /S " & Application.StartupPath)
Application.Exit()

I have no code specifically for this part of my project just saying this ahead of time.I have not used text files that are inside my project but I want to be able to open the file when I load my form and save it when I close my form.I know how to save manualy and same with opening but that defeats the purpose this has to do as much as possible on its own.All I have are code from a project I made a while back which was a notepad program.[code]however I need this to all happen on its own and it needs to install these text files with the program hence why they are in with the project there are about 30 text files that will need to be with it so if I can get help with one then I can figure the rest out.

I support applications in VB6 and VB2003, and I'm trying to upgrade the VB6 app to VB2005, so I have three versions of Visual Studio on my pc. I ran VS2005 and opened the VB6 app to launch the upgrade wizard. It seemed to run fine until it threw an error saying it could not find the project it just created. The project I'm trying to upgrade is called MGxFromSAP.vbp. The error said it could not find MGxFromSAP.vbproj. The project file it actually created is called MGxFromSAP.vbproj.vs7.vbproj. When I try to open this project in VS2005 it says it was created in an earlier version of Visual Studio and needs to be upgraded.Did it perhaps invoke the VB2003 upgrade wizard instead of the new one? How would I be able to tell?
Should I just let VS2005 upgrade the vs7 project or should I try to deinstall the old VS2003 upgrade wizard and rerun the upgrade from scratch?

I managed to create a folder in the my documents folder by typing the path name and the variable from which the folder must be named. So for example the folder variable1 was created. I want to save a file in that folder and i want the filename to be the date. I managed to do that as well but instead of saving the file into variable1 it is being saved into the my documents folder with filename: variable1(date).

This seems almost to easy to ask, but I must be missing something simple.I've added a folder in the project explorer, by right clicking>add>new folderBut when I run under debug, I am unable to save to that folder as it's not in the debug folder, I get:"A Generic error occurred in GDI+"In this code, the first line saves the bitmap fine (in the debug folder), the second line fails with the above alarm..
"vb"
If Not value Is Nothing Then value.Save(Application.StartupPath & "Image.bmp")
If Not value Is Nothing Then value.Save(Application.StartupPath & "ImageImage.bmp")

Whenever I create files in VB.net, the results go by default in the bin/Debug folder. I would like them to go in bin/Debug/Test without having to write the actual location, since the project folder may change from user to user (i.e. they don't place their project in the same folder I do).
