Search A Msacces Db And Display Data In A List-view

I'm using this code to search a msacces db and display the data in a listview.The Search is fired after the text_changed event of a textbox. So each character is a search and also each backspace(here's where the real pain is) it will search. When I use backspace its very very slow! When I use 100 or even a 1000 records no problem but this db has 10.000 + records.Whitch event can I use to solve this problem or how can I adjust the code for faster search? ALs o when I test on a windows7 system, dualcore, 2gb memory, when I press a key it will take time before I see the character in the textboxs? Its a new system and only runs this program.I use a texbox to enter for example an artist name and a combobox where the user can choose to search on artis, title, genre etc. [code]

Okay I'm making a song organizer and I have a program that will load the files in a folder into a box and display the songs info into a list view. That part works fine but when you click the button to make it do anything it will get the variables that it need from the tags on the cells for each song but for some reason the one for the Album just disappears... I tried having it just show the value in a message box and it works fine. Just when I try to combine it with another variable then it wont show at all. Heres my code

I just want to display data in a DataGridView (from SQL - already made the connection) based on what is selected in a ComboBox (data that is also coming from SQL). The 2 are separete on the form. I am using VB 2010.

I need to display (read-only, I don't want the user to be able to modify the data) a set number of log entries. I figured using the data grid view would be the best solution. Basically the data is an error log that contains 3 fields (columns)
ID (a number from 1-20), Flag (number from 0-255), and a Description (string). I don't want the data linked to any database or anything.
These events occur asynchronously so I need to be able to add events (rows) to the data grid as they occur.
I also need the ability to clear all events (rows).
I guess the first question is if the data grid view is the best control in VB to use.
Is there a good example on using the data grid on how to add data to the data grid view one row at a time?

i was able to display a search data/record in my datagridview but my textboxes remains still and wont change to the corresponding row i have selected in my datagridview. other meaning of my doubt is how to bound a textbox with my datagridview so that it should display the details in the texbox of whichever row i'll be selecting from the datagridview

I have a button1 and a listview , upon click of the button1 which is link to a FolderBrowserDialog tool ( In built in VB in which it will allow you to choose the folder you wan on your computer ) , i will select the foler i want and than it will show up in list view the path name and filesname including those in the subfolder inside the folder .

I am using a data grid view to display information from a database and I can't get it to update correctly.I can see the data from the database but when I change information and save it it changes the entire column's information. I'm trying to fill a ListView control in a VB2005 project. It works fine from underpinning (Access) database IF all the data is present. However, if a field is blank (in this case - a field called "Actual Date" which is meant to be blank for this record), the ListView will stop populating at that point.I thought this may have been the 'CausesValidation' property of the ListView but that doesn't seem to change the behaviour.Is this an inherent feature of the ListView - if so it seems daft - or is there a property I need to change or an override that I need to code?
