I have a form with a Tab Control that has 18 pages. When I click on a tab it opens the page and select a textbox on that page (txtTextbox1. Select() ). This works for the first 8 pages but not for the remaining 10 pages. Although on these pages I can mouse click on the textbox, enter info, save then click my Add button that clears the textboxes and has the code (txtTextbox1. Select() ). The textbox is selected just fine. The code for all my pages is the same except for the tab name and the control names. The tab key will move the selection to the next textbox in order on all pages and the Enter key is coded to do the same. The first 8 pages have a total of 256 labels, buttons, list boxes, textboxes and checkboxes on them.

I have an asp.net website that is using update panels on the page that i cant get to reload from the server. I have this for the disable page cache on the master page.

When I click the browser back button to go back to the page it says the page has expired. the other pages on my web site work and call the page load, the only solution i found but cant use is to wrp the whole page in an update panel, but i cant do this becuase i have a report viewer on the page that does not work with ajax.

Asp.net - ObjectDataSource.Select() Not Always Firing On Page Postback

I have a form with:

Whenever I change the value of MyTextBox and press MySubmitButton, the select method of MyObjectDataSource is invoked and everything works OK. But if I change the value of any of my check boxes (without changing the value of MyTextBox) and press MySubmitButton, the select method is not invoked, thus the "MyObjectDataSource_Selecting" event doesn't take place and I get the same results as before.

One way I found to work around this was to explicitly invoke MyGridView.DataBind method whenever MySubmitButton was clicked. Is this the best way to handle these type of parameters? What I am afraid is that this may cause the select method to be called twice making the page slower.

I am developing a website in ASP.Net and VB.Net to allow users to upload and download files from and to an FTP site and my desktop.

I have successfuly got the upload side working.

As far as the download part is concerned, I have so far got it so that when the user goes to the download page, the FTP file list appears so you can see the files that are currently residing on the FTP site.

I was wondering if there is a way that I can program my site so that the user can select one of the files and click on the 'Download' button that I have?

I am busy with a Windows Forms application.The purpose of the application is to convert Excel documents to HTML format so that they can be published to a website.I have most of the code finished and the application is looking really good.I have although encountered a problem. On the Form I have created an Export, File and Edit button.With the edit button I would like the user to be able to select whether they would like to save the 1st,2nd,3rd sheet and so forth.

I would like to create a window/Form within the edit button that would say something like "select excel sheet" along with a save button where the required sheet number could be saved or selected as a standard save procedure everytime.I know that I need to do this with the settings.settings control. I have 4 radio buttons, r1, r2, r3, r4. These four radio buttons are in a group box.

r1 and r2 for asking the gender of person.

r1 for Male , r2 for Female

r3 and r4 for asking whether the user would like to continue.

r3 for Yes , r4 for No.

When I click r1 , r3 becomes unchecked and vice versa. Similar is the case with r2 , r4. So at a time I can check only one radio button. How can I get around this problem . The groupbox is essential so I cannot remove it.

I am trying to make a utility for my personal use. I want it to log into a website and fill out a form for me. So far, I can get it to fill in the input boxes and select the right options from the comboboxes.

I am having a problem with the radio buttons on the form.

Here is how I use webbrowser to select MICHIGAN from the list of states. This works fine, and I present it as an example of what I am trying to do:

I am trying to find something that will do the same thing, but with a radio button. So far, nothing I do will work. There are two radio buttons. One basically says: "Yes, I would like this item - add it to my shopping cart." The other says: "I decline this item." I want to select "I decline this item."

I have an asp.net application, where the user would click a button and launch another page (within the same application). The issue I am facing is that the original page and the newly launched page should both be launched. I tried response.redirect, but that tends to unload the original page.
