i need to send datas to mobile application developed using java can i send datas from vb.net windows application to java mobile applications can anyone tell me what is the simplest and secure way to send data from vb.net windows app to java mobile app
I currently have a simple VB.Net WebBrowser program uses webbrowser control, I 'd like to have certain data returned by a sever in the open web page send to the VB.net program, i.e. retrieve the html response from ASP.NET page.
i need to query a database a user's Full Name, when data is returned by the sever side script, it won't do any update on the web page, instead it should notify the VB.net program what users' full name is.
is it possible to make one application send a task to another application and recieve the result from that secondary app?i made a text editor program and i added a scan feature and i made another app that has ocr capabilities. The scanner ability is in my text editor program, the ocr program doesnt scan you have to input an image into it and it will give text result a few seconds later.the prob is alot of times the ocr code uses sooo much memory and crashes when its incorporated with my text editor, but individually each application works fine and doesnt take too much memory. Memory wont be even an issue if the ocr program is standalone so that when it is done decoding image the application can be made to exit. now here is the question, how do i make my text editor send the image to the ocr program and how do i make my ocr program send the text back to my text editor? is it possible? i mean the only way i know off is creating temp files in a certain folder and having a timer on each program that keeps waiting for temp files. That just seems like pretty lame coding to me i was wondering if there's a better way?
I need to send a short string, (less than 30 bytes, but sent every second), from one VB application, to a Delphi application.. is this possible, using CopyDataStruct, WM_COPYDATA and SendMessage functions in Windows?
In our project we've decided to put an exam generator using vb.net and after generate you can send it to client computer/students. *server computer/teacher will the one who will use exam generator and send it to the client computer/student*student will recieve it and then send it back again to the server computer/teacher*teachers will going to generate an exam depends on the type of exam, so i think im going to make it a wizard type environment
I got a window form, and I want to send data to another computer or a server over internet after the submit button is clicked. Yes, this is a very "general" question (I cant not ask it in more detail), because I don't have any information how to do that, I google it, and I heard WCF, but I am not sure how it actually can do this job (seem like WCF is related, but still researching).
I have written a vb.net desktop application for pipe collectors and one of the requests that seems popular is to be able to post pipe details (text) and an image of the pipe onto the user's facebook wall.
Basically the user will bring up their pipe details of choice and be able to click a 'Post To Wall" button which would then post the pipe details onto their wall.
I have already asked about the problem in java forum. Now i think the solution is only possible through microsoft products.Problem is i want to get the handle of a application and send commands to that application. Is it possible commands are send to combo box , text area, buttons etc..
I was wondering if it's possible to store application data within an application without storing the data in an external file. For example, in my application, the user can choose where he/she would like to store the files that the application creates. I need to make the application remember the location that the user specified. I've tried using My.Settings to save this information, but since my application is standalone, if the location of the application changes, the My.Settings information changes as well (unless I coded it incorrectly before). I would prefer not to store this data in a .txt file or something similar.
I have a solution, which has two projects.Project A generates an executable. Project B generates a dll, which is used by the executable. This project I downloaded from CodeProject site, and it worked very well.[code]...
I am using visual basic code, specifically the sendkeys.send method, to send keystrokes to a different application, in my case Acrobat Reader. Here is my problem. I am sending instructions and text to define a path to a file I want to open in Acrobat Reader. Every keystroke is being sent and interpreted in Reader correctly except the Colon. This is the line of code I am using:Sendkeys.send("C:")
I have tried every variation of this simple line of code I can think of, but the result is the same. Reader for some reason wants to interpret the Colon as Uppercase Q, so what I get is CQ. This of course totally messes up my path to the file I want to open.Sendkeys. sendwait("C:") Behaves the same
I understand there are timing issus with this method so I have added code to my app.config file suggested in this forum for taking care of the timing issue. I have also inserted delays into the execution of the program steps. Nothing I have done solves this problem.I wonder if anyone else has experienced this or a similar problem and if so what was done to correct it.
I am trying to make an application that will send messages to an sms mobile phone (the provider is GiffGaff but i dont sort of know there SMS Server Name). Here is my coding so far....
I am trying to make an application that will send messages to an sms mobile phone (the provider is GiffGaff but i dont sort of know there SMS Server Name). Here is my coding so far....Imports System.Net.Mail
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
I want to send SMS Via GSM Modem from vb.net application I write code But it is not working .
Here is Code below :
Public Class Form1 Private SMSEngine As SMSCOMMS Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
I have this application to send sms but the reason is that when i start to click on the send button, it does not send. but when I start the application again to send sms by clicking on the send button, it is sending. when i send again using a different number, it cannot send.
I cannot find any solutions so far using the MSDN search, so I'll just ask the question here. I am trying to make a "bot" so to speak for a game that I play so that I can automate movements and macros. I've never used Sendkeys method yet until today so I am very unfamiliar except for the articles I have seen on the MSDN.
Basically, the game I play I can manually set macro keys like spacebar to perform task. What I want to do is have my application automate this process on a timed basis. Like, every 2 seconds send the key of spacebar to the other application (MapleStory.exe).
So im trying to allow the user to send a message to an application on a server telling it to do different things. So i build the client and the server side applications and tested them on my computer and another computer here. Everything worked great, just like i wanted it to.
When I moved the server application to the actual server and tried connection via the internet, it did not work. I got the error message: An error has occured : A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond IPADDRESS:PORT
Well then I realized chances are a VPN connection to my server and using my servers name instead of my servers IPADDRESS would fix this problem, which it did.
I dont want to require the user to have to create a VPN connection, i dont really care reather they use the IPaddress or not, although if theres a fix for that too it would be great. Heres my code: (I have marked where the error occured)
In some applications, like taskkill.exe you can send info to the app when it starts up. By that i mean taskkill.exe /f /im 123.exe.... how do i make my VB.NET app read that info on startup so i get it in a string like this "/f /im 123.exe". I have absolutly no idea what this is named,so thats why im asking here.
I have created an application which listens for strings being sent to my pc from a remote unit. I now need to add the function of sending strings back to the remote unit on a button press. I've searched for ages to find a solution but I'm not knowledgeable enough yet with vb.net to solve this solution.
I'm getting the error with the line opensock2 = New IO.StreamWriter(client.GetStream) saying its not connected. So I seem to need to pass the connection from the background worker to the button click, or have it somewhere else in the code to make it accessible. [Code]
