I need to split an Arraylist into individual columns, here is an example of a column in the arraylist:
John Doe - John.Doe@email.com
I want to split up the arraylist so I can use the name and the email address in an email routine i.e. Dear John Doe, yada yada
I am retrieving the data from AD and sending it to th CSV file. but the data is not coming in Column1,column2 and Column3. Can you guys help me with formatting.[code]When i export the data to Excel the 3 fields i am retrieving are merged. Can you guys help me on how to get the data into excel with individual columns?

I would also like my columns with numbers to always have 2 decimals.
And lastly I would like the right side of the column header to be blank and not movable. I can do this by adding another column to my table with a blank name and then set the width to fill, but the problem is I can just move this around, which is not good, I want to freeze it so it looks good. I do want to be able to move around on the other columns, just not this one. Unless there is another way to do that?

At the moment (as a temporary solution to make sure the script worked) I have all files with their respective directories listed in a listview (2 separate columns).

i have a map .txt file that I made that contains X, Y coordinates, and an ID. I have been able to manipulate the .txt file just about every way possible except the way that I want to. In the code below there is a inparameter named thumbs to the function CreatePage. thumbs is an arraylist. My question is if you know if it's possible to split the arraylist thumbs into parts of 15 and call the function with thumbs(1-15), thumbs(16-30), thumbs(31-45) and so on. Until the arraylist is empty.

What I am doing is iterating through all the groups that belong to the top group (Generic reports). Then I take advantage of the GroupPrincipal.GetMembers(True) which will recurse through a given group name. I test to see if the user exits under that group and if true I put the group name in an arraylist.
I use the for each principal in GroupPrincipal.GetMembers to loop through each returned user to see if they exist.
Is there a way to put all the returned users Principal.Name from a given group in GroupPrincipal.GetMembers into an ArrayList? This would allow me to to use Arraylist1.IndexOf to search for user. Which would be much faster then iterating through a returned list using the for each construct.

Cleared MyResearchData.arraylistRData for new data to be put in but it also clears the arraylist inside MyResearchDataAList and didn't old the contents of the arraylist
What I need to do is read an ArrayList in My.Settings and add another ArrayList to it. The first think I'm trying to do is load My.Settings.Records into myArrayList. I'm not quite sure on the proper way to do this. I've tried things such as Dim myArrayList As ArrayList = My.Settings.Records, I'm not sure if I need New and I'm not sure if I need .Clone or .CopyTo.

The problem is I keep on getting Object reference not set to an instance of an object error on the AddRange line. My.Settings.Records is definitely an ArrayList and it will sometimes = Nothing. The objects will only ever be strings.

s there a difference between the arraylist in visual basic and arraylist in C#? I had to convert some C# code to VB and there is a call I make in a third party api that requires me to pass in an arraylist. When I do this in C# it works just fine, but when I do this in VB, I just get back a vaque exception from the api.

I would like to create a split container with a three way split. The first split is a vertical split. The second is creating a horizontal split within panel2 of the first split container. panel1 will hold a treeview control the other two panels will hold listview controls
I think this question has been asked already in a couple different ways and I've reviewed those posts and I've tried to do what was suggested but it doesn't seem to work for me. I've tried to place a second split container inside panel2 of the first split containter. This gave me what appeared to be a three way vertical split.

Then I want to take this information and on run-time begin to add/subtract/divide/multiply certain columns and place the information into other columns. Both ExecuteNonQuery() actions yields the exception message {"Syntax error in field definition."}The error message does not happen with the first if the boolean column is not there (I tried Tes/No as a definition - but that also failed.The second query to modify the ID column from autonumber to integer I assume fails because it is a Primary KeyHas?
