Using A Datetimepicker Control To Select Dates In A Calendar

been a long time since i came to the forum. i use to program a lot in vb6 but its been a long time since i did it so im really rusty. now that im trying to get back to programming, im finding it a bit of a challenge in vb2008... i have this question, im using a datetimepicker control to select dates in a calendar. what im trying to do is disable the textbox in the datetimepicker so that the user can only use the drop down calendar to select the date and not enter the date manually! does any one knows how to disable the textbox in the datetimepicker but still be able to select a date from the calendar???

I am trying to make a reminder, but i can't figure out one thing. Anybody out there knows how? I would like my reminder to have a function when you select one date it automaticaly adds 2 reminders up to the day of the event. For example if you select the event at date 24 it would automatically add two events at the calendar at the dates 17 and 10.

I have a dataset that returns the following data:[code]The first character is the shift code, the next date is the beginning of the shift the next day is the ending day of the shift and the last field is if it is a day shift (0) or night shift(1).I need to display the dates for the DBX dates in a light blue and the ACY in white.These shifts are always on the same days, just A,B,C,D rotate from night I am new to web development and just trying to create a shift calendar on the fly,What the result should be is a calendar with 4 days shaded blue, and 4 days shaded white.

I am currently using VB. I want to do a Calendar Control which have dates highlighted/selected. All these dates are retrieved from a database.
how to put all the dates into an array Second thing I need to know is how to highlight all the dates in the array.
I have done some research on the internet and they said something about selectedDates and selectedDates collection and dayrender. But frankly speaking, I can't really find any VB codes regarding this. Dates format will be in dd/MM/yyyy

I'm Using MonthCalendar Control in my Form to select Multiple Dates. (for eg. 1st April,20th April,25th April). I'm planning to Change the date the user clicked by making it BOLD during run time, so that i can retrieve the results in a Date array. [code] MessageBox clearly shows the date selected, but no effect for the "addboldeddate'.

I'm not fully sure on how to do this, part of me has a feeling I will have to use custom controls in order to accomplish this. On my form, I have 2 datetimepickers. The second one is taken care of, but the first I need to basically be a "read only" without Month Calender or Up down after it. All I'm trying to do is make the date time picker have no "up down" or calender because I want to only use it as a clock. I prefer dateTimePicker over a textbox for this purpose as it is easier to format allowing me to custom format the date/time.

For the past day or so, I have been trying to compare values in my SQL server against an actual calendar. I have had mixed luck with this and I have exhausted my limited knowledge. I am looking for a shove in the right direction.
Background:Right now, I have a program that writes a record to a database when the program completes successfully. This time stamp has both the date and time on the SQL box. I have a number of date fields in a project which need validating (they must be <Today() and be a proper date). I have tried Masked Textboxes, but I prefer the feel of the DateTimePicker control. However, can anyone tell me how I can prevent the user from selecting the calendar dropdown?

I am trying to use a date time picker to get a month and year from the user (no date). I have the text box portion of the control set correctly but I was wondering if there is a way for me to edit the calendar control so that it only allows selection of months and years or if I can remove that calendar control all together? I have searched for a while but found nothing addressing my question, everything I found refers to the text box portion of the control.

using the calendar from the webfor tools, NOT CALENDAR EXTENDER, and my question is, is there a way to add text to a specific day of the calendar, for example, that i want to click on the number where its shows 29 of the month december, then it shows me a texbox or anything that takes data from my, and i type anything in there, like an event or something, then i click on a button to save my entry, and next time i visit my page i see that day that i clicked on changed its color and shows my text when i hoover the mouse on top of it,

I am working VB.NET 08 Access Database. I have Two "DateTimePicker" controls one is "StartDate" and one is "Enddate". Now I am selecting Startdate like May 1st OK. Now when I select Enddate control this calender shows only Equal or Greater than dates should be Enable. EndDate should be Always Greater than Equal Date. That's why when ever user selects the Enddate Before May 1st dates should be disable..
