Is it possible to disable the dates that appear before todays date in a dateTimePicker control?I want to put in some validation so that my users can only select days in the future...ie a future appointment date?

So, if past date is Jan 1st, the current date is "x", the future date is Jan 11th. How do I get a percentage of completion between Jan 1st and Jan 11th based on today's date Jan 5th?

I try to make a WFA for filling, reading etc. to a database. I want to compare 2 dates (actually 1 date is changed by 42 days) that are chosen by a user through a datetimepicker. After comparing the 2 dates the "newest" date has to show up in a non editable textbox. This Is my code (of course I have 2 subs for the datetimepickers as well).

been a long time since i came to the forum. i use to program a lot in vb6 but its been a long time since i did it so im really rusty. now that im trying to get back to programming, im finding it a bit of a challenge in vb2008... i have this question, im using a datetimepicker control to select dates in a calendar. what im trying to do is disable the textbox in the datetimepicker so that the user can only use the drop down calendar to select the date and not enter the date manually! does any one knows how to disable the textbox in the datetimepicker but still be able to select a date from the calendar???

how to manipulate the dates to determine which date will be 30 days more then the datetime control I have on my form. i need to take the chosen date from the DateTime control, and determine what date it will be in 30 days. I implemented a DateTimePicker in my program which has the basic function of renewing data when a date is selected and "Enter" is pressed. Apparently every time Enter is pressed a "beep" sound is played.
Is there a possibility to disable this sound? (Pressing Enter while the DTP is focused is important hence I use it to start the function.)

I can do this on the SQL side or the code side. I have Linq at my disposal if I need it. The table doesn't need to be compiled by SQL. This will happen dynamically on a website and should be as efficient as possible.I don't want to have to iterate through each and look for breaks in contiguous days if I don't have to.

It seems to work because when I click today's date nothing gets locked like it used to, but when I do click another date everything in that form gets locked, including the override button and the scrollbar. I don't want the scrollbar locked, and I want to have an override button so the user can edit the form if they truly wish. It also locks the DateTimePicker so I can't pick another date, I don't want that locked either.I tried enabling the DTP in the sub below but it must get ignored

I have this form with a bunch of input controls. I have code working that will disable them all like I want, but need to work with the if/then statement portion. Basically, it's a "History" form for patients. There's a date field for each entry, and if that date doesn't match the date you're accessing the form I want it to disable all controls so you can't edit the form. So it would have to check the current date with the date that is on the form. Then I also want to have an override button that will ask you if you want to enable all controls anyway, which I can probably figure out. There is some older VB6 code (I think) but I know nothing about VB6 or how it translates.
I think this is the portion that does what I want in VB6:

How to have the program check the current date with the date in this form. From there it's probably just a simple if/then statement to fire off either sub. This date control on the form is a DateTimePicker. Maybe I just have to compare that to the system date but I still don't know what to call for that.
