My Problem is that I am trying to view the database in Vb (windows form) but the image does not appear.All I can see is a small red cross where the image should be.I have tried both Datagrid view and Detail View.

how to retrieve image from access database?.. I've just finish retrieving data to the datagrid view. I want to retrieve also the image (also stored in the database as path inside the table where the data stored) in the picturebox. When i clicked the specific data in datagrid view, it will show preferred image to picturebox.

The form displays labels with the job site and crew names on them. The application is written using VB.net 2003. I'm using VB 2010, accessing a MS Access database. I have constructed a simple Windows Form returning data from the db, one field of which has a reference to an image I'm trying to display together with the data from each individual record.
I have a field with a product number, that matches the jpg file name (ie, the product number 5505 matches an image that I want to display, namely 5505.jpg). I've even created a new field in the db called 'Image', that contains the full name 5505.jpg.
So, I've connected to the db with an OleDbAdapter, and all the data fields are displayed via bound textboxes. I've been able to display a single 'set' image with a PictureBox, but I'm not sure how the make the connection between the returned data (txtSearchImage which is, say, '5505.jpg'), and getting the Windows Form to display this.
Am I on the right track using a PictureBox? I've tried binding this via the PictureBox properties to the relevant data field, but (obviously) it doesn't make the connection to the image file on my hard drive.

i have datagridview populated with stock code, name and description.And i have docked my datagridview to the bottom. so whenever the form is resized, the bottom section will be occupied completely with the datagridview.But i want to display one extra empty column and multiple empty rows to completely fill in the datagridview.The extra empty column width will be adjusted to the right end side of datagridview.And the no of empty rows will be generated based on how many is required to fill up to the bottomSo that i can create datagridview with full column and row even though some columns or rows are empty.

I have even created a form that can add a new entry to the table im using.The first form has a ComboBox that list the PlayerNames in my table. Form2 allows you to add a new name to the table, but anything I add isnt immediately updated in Form1. I have to relaunch the program to see the new entries. Even then, these new entries dont seem to be permanent as they eventually dissappear.The code I have for Form1:
