Can you add values inside textboxes that are located in tables in Visual Basic 2008?
I put a TableLayoutPanel on a form and inside the Table I put textboxes. Outside the table there is a button. The whole point of the program is so that the user inputs numerical values inside the textboxes and then hits the button and the answer comes out in another textbox. But its not working. It worked when I didn't put my textboxes inside the TableLayoutPanel.[code]...

I have code that when text fills a main rich textbox beyond the size of its dimensions - the vertical scroll appears and simultaneously vertical scrolls the main rtb and a second subordinate textbox.
If I have a couple lines of text and I scroll down a line(row) of text using the cursor I wish the subordinate rtb respond in the same manner i.e. scrolling down the same line(row) and obviously the lines of text underneath.

tbFrom = "one" and tbTo= "two" use drag and drop to swap the values so that tbFrom.text = "two" and tbTo.text = "one" with tbNope.text = "three" but you aren't allowed to drop in tbNope. Show the appropriate symbols for allow drop and don't allow drop. set allowdrop to true for tbFrom and tbTo. So far i have one way working.

I have default.aspx used masterpage, in master page i have a control called DefaultMenuContent, this control have a dropdownlist with autopostback, the problem is loosing the selection even if i use Is Not PostBack in control's load event, how to persist the dropdownlist selection?

To start things up, I have a DLL called clsEmployeeModule, containing forms frmEmpInfo and frmAddEmpName. frmEmpInfo contains a textbox that when clicked displays the frmAddEmpName. Now the latter contains three textboxes (firstname, middlename and lastname) and a Save button. Once the user clicks Save, the values from the three textboxes will be concatenated and displayed as a full name back in the frmEmpInfo form.Below is the code snippet calling the frmAddEmpName:

When I debugged the program, it showed that employee_fullname was successfully populated with the concatenated values -- however, that wasn't the case for the empname textbox.

I'm writing a scheduling program that queries a MySQL database for today's appointments and uses a Table Layout Panel with employees on the top and times on the left to display the schedule. I am trying to add another table ontop of that table for each appointment and set the rowspan of that dynamic table to occupy the time slot of that appointment from start to finish.ll the appointments appear in the dynamic table and each dynamic table appears in the appropriate starting positions in the main table. When you are designing GUI's and put a Table within a table, you get a RowSpan and ColumnSpan option for that inner table. The problem I'm having is the dynamic tables are not giving me a RowSpan option, which I believe is because it was created using code and doesn't know that it's inside another table.Here is part of the code... I am working on a program which makes tables in MS WORD. But there are many parameters that should be asked. Its so embarrassing to ask all of them with inputbox while codes are working. I made forms for each tables which will be created. While codes are working, when it is the time to create table, form appears and user inputs the datas and press OK button and table is build according to these datas in MS Word. Does anyone has an idea ?

I've gotten everything to work except one thing. I can't get the right numbers inside the textboxes! I've been sitting here for like an hour trying to use a case statement.. it didn't work for me so I tried to use if then statements and I still couldn't get it to work!

I am writing a UserControls that display different database tables in textboxes. At present, I change which table the UC looks at by means of a Property that is in byte format and the Set part of the Property calls a subroutine to fix various functions.

I've got the following issue: I want to make my program change the Backcolor property of all textboxes inside a TabControl. The problem is that one of the Tabs has got another TabControl in it, and I need to change those too.I'd like to to it all at once, but I'm getting an error using this code.

This is my first time using WPF. It has been a bit of a nightmare, but I've done enough of the project that I now don't want to start all over again with a forms application.
My problem is this: I have 50 textboxes inside an expander, which in turn is inside a stackpanel. I need to store the value of each textbox in an array. In forms I would probably do it something like this (I am using vb.net by the way):
Dim i As Integer
Dim values() as string
For i = 0 To 49
values(i) = form1.Controls("TextBox" & i).text
Next i
(Assuming my textboxes were named Textbox1, Textbox2, Textbox3 etc.)
How can I do this in WPF? I've tried using Trees (I think they're called?) but have failed every time and now given up.
Oh, I also forgot to mention that there are also other controls in the expander (labels that are paired with the textboxes).

I am in process of writing a setup program that will reside in a USB stick.After inserting the Stick the VB2008E program starts (dont know how) and guides the technician to do certain tasks. As a part of this She/He needs to run a Setup.exe that resides in the same USB stick.
1- How do I define the drive letter of this USB stick.
2- How do I run the x:Setup.exe program without exiting the VB2008? The install process should begin after click of a button.
3- Would Autorun work on USB drives to run the program automaticaly?
4- How do I compile to make a single EXE file at the end?

I am teaching myself VB, and when I try to run this program, I am getting "An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." If I was to declare the variables inside each event handler, the program runs, but why won't it run when I make the scope public? Seems repititous having to declare the variables in every event handler. [code]

[Code] Somewhere my system haves a function that returns a DataSet with the books of a certain subject and all the Authors that wrote such books. I need to show the book's attributes in some textboxes inside a Form. I use a BindingSource to display the ISBN, Name and Subject of the books in a textbox, yet I don't know how to display the author name of the book I am currently viewing in a TextBox, taking into account I already fetched the Author into the DataSet.
Its pretty much the Child/Parent display problem somewhere discussed in the codebank, but kinda backwards, the thing is that I;m navigating through the CHILD records here, not the parent, yet i have all the data needed in my Dataset.

I have a class that add extra information about a column for linq2sql (see code below) right now, I have to explicitly tell what column I want that info on, how would you put that code with a loop on every column in every table from a dbml file? I was doing my test on a very very small DB, now I have to implement it on a much more bigger database and I really don't want to do it manually for every tables/columns it will take hours.

On my form, i've got some textboxes and some richtextboxes. I'm using the following code, to search through the text properties of each of the two types of control. see below:-

I have a table called Invoices with a debit and credit column, and a payment table with a Debit and credit Colum, When Retrieving the Account Balance i need to Sum the INvoices by the account Number and then sum the payments by the account NUmber by Sum(Debit) - Sum(Credit) if the account is a receivables or Sum(Credit) - Sum(Debit) if the account is a payables, but i also have to filter to not include Deleted Accounts (Delete Flag = true) and not coun any disputed records (Disputed = true) in either the invoices or payments table. I know how to do this with a single table.
Select Sum(Debit) - Sum(Credit) From Invoices WHERE(Disputed = False and Deleted = False AND AccountNumber = @AccountNumber).
My Goal is to get the Account Balance by summing up the Invoices and payments and subtracting the All Debits from All Credits if Receivables or All Credits From All Debits if Payables.
