Vb2008 Program - Textboxes To Keep The Data In Them Till The Next Time Run It
Apr 11, 2010When i run the program everything works fine. I want the textboxes to keep the data in them till the next time i run it. Right now when i shut it down (with data in the textboxes) then start it up i have lost all the data.

I put a TableLayoutPanel on a form and inside the Table I put textboxes. Outside the table there is a button. The whole point of the program is so that the user inputs numerical values inside the textboxes and then hits the button and the answer comes out in another textbox. But its not working. Dec 20, 2009I developped a small application with two date time pickers and a button user controls and it exports datatables to excel sheets. its working perfect on my pc using windows vista and office 07. but when i tested it on another machine using windows 2000 and office2000 i got the following error:
failed to activate control vb user controle. this control maybe incompatiblewith your application. make sure you are using the version of control that was provided with your application.
and for excel 2000. is it possible to get MIcrosoft Excel 9.0 object library downloaded and added as reference to vb
Time Difference Between 2 Textboxes?
May 2, 2011I am not sure if I should put in a Text Box or not but this is how I thought it might have to go. Textbox1 shows the start time of a procedure and textbox2 shows the endtime of the same procedure. I would like it if the textboxes were in a 12 hour clock showing an am/pm tag on the textbox's. Then in Textbox3 it would show the differance between Textbox1 and Textbox2 in Hours and Minutes.

Jun 2, 2010I have a form with many different textboxes on it. The form is used to Edit the data already in a databound table. At design time I set my Databindings.text to the appropriate columns.
During form load I check the values in the bound column for null values. If the column value is null, I set the textbox.text property to a descriptive prompt like "enter telephone #" or enter city. I also use databinding.remove to remove the databinding so that the desriptive prompts don't wind up in the database.
Here is the code I use to remove the databinding.

Feb 23, 2010With a Time value in my program. Basically, I am importing a travel Time from a database e.g. 3:45 so it takes 3 hrs and 45 minutes to get from a to b. I then want to double this - 3:45 * 2 = 7:30, and then want to multiply it by a cost e.g. travel is charged at 25 per hour. so it would be total travel time = 7:30. Travel cost = 25. Total Travel Cost = 7:30 * 25. In the access db, it is stored as a text field, and then imported in vb as a string.
