RowSpan On A Table Created Dynamically Located Inside Another Table?
Apr 24, 2009
I'm writing a scheduling program that queries a MySQL database for today's appointments and uses a Table Layout Panel with employees on the top and times on the left to display the schedule. I am trying to add another table ontop of that table for each appointment and set the rowspan of that dynamic table to occupy the time slot of that appointment from start to finish.ll the appointments appear in the dynamic table and each dynamic table appears in the appropriate starting positions in the main table. When you are designing GUI's and put a Table within a table, you get a RowSpan and ColumnSpan option for that inner table. The problem I'm having is the dynamic tables are not giving me a RowSpan option, which I believe is because it was created using code and doesn't know that it's inside another table. Here is part of the code... This code is inside loops for each appointment of each employee
Public Sub PopulateWaterRecords(ByVal dDateTo As Date) 'Populates the water record forms for each year 'Dim UserName As String = Membership.GetUser().UserName
[Code] my issue is that now i need two cases, first i need a query that will return the date created and modified of the table and i also need to know if its possible to query a list of table names in the database ordered by date created but that have a certain thing in their names. for example the database contains the following tables: [Code] and what i need the query to return is the tables that contain "Data", settings and employees are for the other functions of the program. so the query should return the 4 data tables in order of date created. but i have no idea how to go about doing that in the query, does anyone know how this is done?
I have a jQuery function that removes a row when the CheckBox is clicked. However, I need to also adjust the rowspan property because there are now fewer rows in the table. How can I do this in jQuery?
I'm creating a number of textboxes, all calling a function during the onchange event to update their value to the database. These boxes are dynamically created in the backend because the data changes based on specific criteria that can be changed on the page. Here's the creation of the boxes:
Dim t as TableRow tC = New TableCell Dim txtBox As New TextBox
[Code]....
When I enter a number into the Textbox, the event fires as expected, but it fires twice.
I can usually find the answers to most of my questions via the Google Gods, but not this time.I have a form that has a TabPageControl and on that page a collection of labels and text boxes via a usercontrol.
On the form I have a button that allows the user to create a new tabpage, when the code adds a new page, it automatically adds the UserControl collection. I can't get my head around how to access the objects on the newly created tabpage.
What I need to be able todo is take the index of the tabpage that has focus and translate that against the UerContol name, but I havn't a clue how to do it!
I am adding a grid of buttons to a form at run-time, and all of then use the same Handler. My question is : Is there any way I canadd the TextBox at run-time ?I know how to but without it on the form, the IDE isn't very happy about the "MyClick" Sub - TextBox1 is not declared......
' some logic here to make nice rows and Columns of buttons ' with different .Text and .Name Me.Controls.Add(btn)
I have a data table whose one column is related to a column of another table. I have a listbox in a form which shows a column (which is sorted by another column value by ORDER clause) of the parent table and other columns are in textboxes. The child table is represented by a datagrid. When I add a new item in parent table and click save, the newly created item is listed at the bottom of the listbox violating my ORDER clause. When I wrote some codes to fill data again after updating, it shows an error message[code]...
I'm trying to add rows dynamically to a System.Web.UI.WebControls.Table control in ASP.NET. I found some sample code that does what I'm seeking, but it only adds a single row. It seems like the table row count does not carry from one page load to the next. The user should be able to add as many rows as desired, and I need to capture the data from each row.
What am I missing? Code below.
<%@ Page Language="VB" %> <script runat="server"> Sub btnAddEmail_Click(ByVal Sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Dim tr As New TableRow Dim tcLabel As New TableCell
I currently have this code to create an asp table [code]where PH is my placeholder for the table to appear in.This code creates a 1 celled table how do i get it to create multiple rows and cells?
Is it possible to dynaically create table name in MS Access: Below is my CODE: strSQL = "CREATE TABLE" + Me.Text + "( ID Counter," & _ "Name TEXT(50) NOT NULL," & _ "PRIMARY KEY(ID) )" But, I am getting a run time error that syntax is wrong.
I have a unit-test for my entire solution(over all 300 methods) and this unit-test will run daily. Here is what my unit-test does,Suppose we have Insert method which inserts a data through Store procedure into Sql server 2005 table. The unit-test for this insert method is,first i will run a query(dynamically) which gets all required data for insert method(in other words it will get data from same table and does inserts, this is purely to test the method) and my problem here is if the table does not have data at all then my unit-test fails.
Since I'm doing select dynamically and then inserts, this happens when I run my unit-test in different environmental like Quality Assurance and performance Assurance. So I'm looking for a solution to avoid unit-test failure becz of nodata.. I'm looking for solution where I do some think like this if I get an error message say no data. Then I get data from different environment(like development data base then do insert into the table and run the unit-test).
I am using vb 2005 and I am trying to use a radiobutton to call .dbf (or .xml...I have both) file which contains only 2 values. The Value I would like to obtain is in A2. This cell contains a value that is about 8 to 10 digits past the decimal (I don't see that as an issue as of yet).
Below is my code that I am trying to implement. Private Sub RadioButton1_CheckedChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles RadioButton1.CheckedChanged Dim myValue As String Dim excelTable As New DataTable [Code] .....
I get an error regarding system arguments on this line right here "If RadioButton1_CheckedChanged(excelTable, ------->"D:\FILENAME.dbf", "SHEETNAME"<-------) Then" How to reset the unselected textbox to zero when another radiobutton is selected.
how to connect a SQL Table to a DataGridView that was previously created programmatically. Basically, at run-time the user names and creates several empty SQL Tables and DataGridViews. After that the user selects from a combobox the name of the SQL Table and DataGridView that they want to import data into, then clicks a button named "Import"...after clicking "Import" the user navigates to an Excel file, chooses a worksheet, clicks a "Continue" button and then the code successfully connects to the Excel import file and SQLBulkCopies the data to the SQL Table...next I need the imported data in the SQL Table update to the DataGridView...this is the part I can't figure out.
The challenge is the datagridview isn't hard coded it was created and named programmatically at runtime. So now the user selects the name of the SQL Table the data resides in and the name of the DataGridView from the combobox "moduletableCB" and I need the code to update the datagridview.
I have a search page in my application where I am searching the database for the records that meet the specified conditions that the user selects. All of this works by creating the dataset, datatable, and dataadapter in the code. I then take a created bindingsource link it to the created datatable and then attach the bindingsource to my datagridview to display the results. Now what I am trying to do is to figure the Mean, Median, Mode and Standard Deviation of the results that were found above. My question is how to I run a select query on the code created table. I have the select query I want to use and when I try to use it in the code it talks about the connection. Now I have a dataset that is part of the project and I have the on just for the search page. Let me know if you need any code samples.
I am trying to input specific information on a form.I have created an sql statement from a table that will out put 18 rows of data.I have opened a recordset and instituted a do until loop.I need for the program to look at each row and if the Standard Score = the value of a field I have on the form it takes the value of the other three columns in updates it on the form.I have created the code and it works for upto 3 (Do Until loops)records, but when I try to add a 4th in the SQL statement and put in another do loop my computer runs it but it acts as if it freezes up. [code]
As a bonus to the project I'm currently working on, the people would like it if I could change the background color of individual table cells depending on what their value is. So in the RadGrid_ItemDataBound event handler I have, I'm trying to set the BackColor of the cell if the cell's text equals a certain value from a dataset in my database. My current code is like so:
Before any jumps in and says, Why dont you just use a gridview, i have my reasons not to use it.I trying to dynamically create a table and then populate the cells via a linq object.
Good news, i can dynamically create the table and the cells. Dim numrows As Integer = MyActions.Count() Dim numcells As Integer = 5
I am new to .net, I got a project in which i need to import dynamically excel file into sql table. Like user will select the excel file and the sql table, then all the columns from excel file and the fields from sql table comes on the form, then user will select which column need to go to which table colums.
I have some Tables in an Access DataBase with the same structure and different names. I wish to use one only form (Page) to view data. I must change the name of the Table contained in the SelectCommand but Im not able to do so.
<asp:AccessDataSource ID="AccessQuadent" runat="server" DataFile="~/App_Data/QuaAdmin.mdb"> SelectCommand="SELECT * FROM [QuaGen] ORDER BY [FileDate]desc">
Im am creating an email using MailMessage and would like to embed a dynamically populated table. I've set a MailMessage property to IsBodyHtml so I've already been able to insert HTML encoded text into the body of the email. Using that I could easily create the top and bottom of the table, but creating the rows seems like a StringBuilder nightmare.
The table will have 6 columns and a variable number of rows that would be populated from a collection. The requestor would prefer NOT to send the data as an attachment.
Does anyone know a way for a datatable to be generated INSIDE the code of VB? It would be a "backup" datatable generation subroutine to be run in case the original datatable got damaged somehow (bad hard drive sectors, virus, whatever). It would need to be able to generate a "blank" datatable that could be filled in while running the program, instead of having to do it from an outside source (like Access). An example would be an "inventory" datatable (X product, Store Code, Manufacturer Code, Cost, Price).
