May 18, 2010I am trying to input the data from textbox1 into the section for user= but can't get the syntax right.

Asp.net - Split String Adding Extra String When No Data Is There?
Nov 12, 2010I have some code that splits a session into strings by a -
My session looks something like this 123-456-789- and I split it like this
Dim MyString As String() = Session("MySession").Split("-"C)
And i've got a some code like this
Dim x as Integer
For x = 0 to MyString - 1
Response.write("Ref: " & MyString(x) & "<br>")
Next
This writes the code like this
Ref: 123
Ref: 456
Ref: 789
Ref:
So it's adding an extra Ref where it shouldn't be because there is no data after the last -
Is there a way to stop this adding in the extra one?

Jul 7, 2011I'm trying to connect a VB application (2010) to an MS Access DB by adding a data source from the data menu but I receive this error message "The connection you selected uses a local data file that is not in the current project.Would you like to copy the file to your project and modify the connection ?
If you copy the data file to your project, it will be copied to the project's output directory each time you run the application" and the options are (yes , No , Help)
If I choose Yes I will not be able to make the application 'device independent ' since it will not be copied under the bin , and if I choose No , changes won't be applied to the DB

Jul 6, 2011I have a form where a number of textboxes are programmatically created within a flowLayoutPanel and named by adding together 2 strings.
With the click of another button i hope to have all the values entered into these text boxes stored in a text file. However, i cant seem to find a way to add strings together to allow me to retrieve the values entered within the text boxes created.
Below is the code i have so far: BTW FLP is my flow layout panel and c is my calculated nmber of textboxes that are created.

Jun 21, 2010ok the problem is that when a button is click I want it to add 1 (+1) to a textbox. This process will keep on going on till I tell it not to...How would I just keep a running total of whats happening in the textbox...What I mean to say is that if I pressed the button 10 times, instead of it showing:111111111 I want it to automatically add the numbers up to show 10 instead.

SeriesNumber:01
Series starts at "01" and gets added one everytime I hit button1,so next time I press button1,it will be "02".When I add them up this is the result I get: Result:18501-2100-1
But I want the result to be like this: Result:18501-2100-01
I want the series number to be a two digit value. How can I make this happen?Do I look

Apr 28, 2011I have a multiline textbox that has wordwrap set to True I am assigning each line of the textbox to a string Lets say I typed this into the textbox without pressing enter and it just wordwrapped to the next line Visual Programming is fun it would assign "Visual Programming is fun" to the first string however, what i want it to do is assign "Visual Programming is" to the first string and "fun" to the second string.....now if i would have pressed enter after "is" then it would have done what I wanted it to do, but if i dont press enter and just let it word wrap it does not do what i want it to do...

When the button is clicked, it gathers the list of numbers from the test.txt file and displays it in the textbox. Now what I want to do is make a label so that after it streams the data and displays it in it's multi-line text box, is for every 10 and 1 displayed on one line, it will subtract 1 from the number in the label. For every 2,3,4,5,6 I want it to add 1. For every 7,8,9 it will not add anything.For those who can tell I'm a blackjack fan and I was curious on how to keep a running count in a label from a multi line list of numbers.

May 19, 2009I'm trying to do is take each item from an arraylist, that is populated through a structure read from textfiles, then loop through them adding each result from the arraylist to a new line in a textbox. What I'm getting is that it's adding only the last item to the textbox rather than listing them, yes I have multiline set to true. Because of the potential size of the arraylist I have it running in a background worker. Once it's complete then I'm trying to populate the textbox. The only problem is that I have lists that are about 20-30 lines long, and all I know how to do is items.add "item" I was wondering if any one knew a way that I could add a long list without out items.add.

Adding Data Using Data Details View?
Apr 18, 2009I have a datagridview on form1 but I don't want users adding data using datagridview, instead, I wanna use details view. So I created a form2, dragged and dropped details view on form2. I changed the Addnew on BindingNavigator to None and added a code to the Addnew click event handler to call the form2 out so that I could add data from there. But, when form2 loaded. the textboxes pulled out all the information from datagridview. I did not want that, I wanted all the textboxes to appear empty when it was loaded. so I deleted all the textboxes and added my own textboxes so that they appeared empty when form2 was loaded.
